cool, ill have to look into that. :)
In short, that part with the voice receiver is a parody of silent protagonists where they're expected to talk... The problem is, they never had a purpose in any area to say something coherent, like Gordon Freeman or Link, that includes Chell and thus Stanley prefers not to give the Narrator satisfaction.

The Stanley Parable HD Remix is after all built upon Portal 2's version of Source.

Well, im not sure how the engine version is really relavent in this case. The only difference between this version of source and the standard version is that this one has a redesigned rendering backend, improved support for shaders, a built-in version of VBSP (locked down and inaccessable in stanley parable), and some changes to the physics engine. The engine really doesn't play much of a role in the character design.
I was mainly comparing Stanley and Chell, both being the main protagonists of their respective games. The two never say actual words but very likely make noises in case of pain, though Portal 2 did away with that for the female test subject.

Ah, okay :P
i have opened the door with an console command, there is nothing behind it
The last comment here was back in May, so I suppose this game is losing interest. But I'd really hope they'd add to it. Instead of a sequel, I'd love to see existing paths extended and divided into even more endings. For example, make it possible to stop the nuke and have that lead to additional paths. Or have the elevator in the executive offices actually go somewhere, and lead to additional endings depending on whether you go up or down. Also, give us more control over our movements to explore the Freedom ending, even if the area is of limited size.
I did it just to be sure but there really is nothing just like I'm sure most of us thought

So you want stanley parable to lose what makes it stanley parable?

The point is that they make you THINK that you have freedom. The entire game is there to mock you and play you around. If the game gave you more actual actions that you thought you coudl make, then there is no point.

you arre so right
I'm sorry. I just wanted to be able to continue playing this awesome game. Since the game has so many endings and easter eggs already, I don't see how adding a few more would harm the mood of the game in any way, but rather, would add more time in the game.

because you suggest things that are logical for the average player playing a game, wich is exactly what the stanley parable is not trying to do.
I think you're one of those people who just doesn't like change. The game already has so many choices and endings and easter eggs, a few more won't detract from the game in any way.

Now, I agree that the game devs would have to be careful that any new levels/endings/eggs stay in the spirit of the existing game and fit in as if they were planned from the start. Since there's a risk they could screw that up, I can understand your fear of that.

For example, consider this thought experiment: Suppose the game didn't originally have that catwalk leading to the red and blue doors and the Zending and the baby. And then suppose someone like me suggested it be added. Would you then say that the suggested new levels don't belong in the game? Hmmm?

You are implying that i dont want the game to be touched in any way just to find an argument to use against me. I am not against adding new levels for the game, but the game is done. Shipped. The developers are not gonna make new patches or add more content. The narrator works somewhere else now.
I'm not using anything against you. I'm just trying to reason with you. It's not unheard of for devs to release DLC after a game has been completed to add new levels and content. I merely posted a suggestion that they do so.
No, but it would be freaky if it actually occured.
