They activate when you press them, and then just pop back up. You have to restart the game and then your computer in stanley's office will always be 1 input away from returning to heaven...

Endlessly and meaninglessly pushing buttons is what makes Stanley happy. If it accomplished anything; it would be hell for him.

I sincerely apologize for being a thoughful nerd about this game, but maybe for Stanley, who's eternal hell is having someone else dictate his action endlessly through a computer moniter (if you don't see the irony in that one then you must need glasses more than I do) then perhaps Stanley's heaven is one of endless choices.

Or the developers were just hardore trolls. I can hardly tell with these guys.
