LESS THAN 5 MINUTES LONG?

So I was looking around to see exactly how long the game takes to play. Then I notice that one of the achievements of The Stanley Parable is to complete the game in under FOUR MINUTES AND TWENTY TWO SECOND.

I think I'm gonna keep my money.

There choices, Some choices will end the game quickly. Others, Well... Won't. Trust me theres alot more to it then Four minutes and twenty two seconds.

The mod had tons of different endings; that's probably the case with the full game, too. The "four minute" ending is most likely some sort of a hidden easter egg.

Of course I do not know yet. I'm going to go ahead and buy the game.

Haha, yeah that sounds about right. I'm not gonna look at the Achievement list so I don't spoil it for myself, but that is well within the M.O. of the original mod. There are going to be A LOT of endings, with variable amounts of content before you get there.

This isn't a game you get to the end of once and just stop.

I spent 30mins playing the demo. Though truth be told I spent at least 5 of those minutes pressing the 8 button. I figure the full game would be about 2 hours.

You could complete Antichamber in 2 minutes 36 seconds, missing 99% of the game's content, and that game is still amazing.
I think this is a somewhat similar case. Though I don't know that for sure, gonna find out very soon.

You could beat Chrono Trigger in about five minutes, but I wouldn't let that distract from the quality of the game. (And speed runners, in general, be crazy: have you seen how fast they go through certain games, to the point at which they're not even playing the game?)

That's what most of us figured, although that achievement's quickly becoming a popular point of note with people trying to bash the game.

Then again, they'll bash it either way, I suppose. There will always be at least one.

I would think that based on achievements like "play for the entirety of Tuesday" or "don't play for five years" or "8888888888888888," that it's clear that these achievements have the same parodics scorn for achievements as the demo, and mean nothing about the game itself, other than being a tonal signifier. Or something.
