Stuck at Main screen without menu - Restart steam not working - Reinstall does not help

C'mon, of COURSE I did that - don't you read the topic? I did exactly what is listed under common issues. Please read what I already did before pointing to "common issues".

Additional info: The game worked as far as following: Set video options to "high", set video mode to "3840x2400", the back, back, and WHAT? No menu. It looks clearly like a bug.

Have you tried lowering the options? Does it only do this if you start messing with options?

GREAT! NEW BUG!
The Main Menu does not work with 3840x2160 or with 3840x2400. You get a blank screen.

The Source Engine usually works very well in 4K IF you don't activate in-game Anti Alias.

I hope this bug will be fixed soon. I love playing in Ultra HD or higher resolutions..

Still no fix? Seems like the main menu disappearing at certain high resolutions would be a really simple fix, as the graphics engine and everything else are working fine at those settings.

Also, disabling AA doesn't make the menu visible.

Only workarounnd is to play at a lower res like 1440p for now.

Looks like that bug is still there. Just had the issue trying to play in 4k.

Horribly disappointing bug. Bought the game 5 minutes ago and already stuck with it not working. Sure, I can play with the config files to fix it, but I hate that I have to (and many others wouldn't know how!)

You have to play at lower resolutions is the workaround, but yes it's silly that their menu system isn't scalable to higher resolutions.

After installing the game, it started out in a lower resolution for me that worked fine.

If yours didn't start out in a lower resolution, try looking in the config file for it I guess? Maybe try ALT-Enter to see if you can make it go into windowed mode?

I guess if you want to get even more aggressive you could lower your desktop resolution first, and then launch the game to force the game into a lower resolution, that might work too.
