PS3 controller on Mac

Hi all,

Just got a PS3, so I was trying to use its controller to test out Big Picture mode and the like. It works fine in Steam and in other games, but when I booted up Stanley Parable on my Mac (10.9) the inputs didn't do anything. Has anyone used that controller on a Mac version of the game before and run into any issues? If so, how did you fix them?

well, did you use the built in controls for the game? (was there an option in game that said to use a joystick) or did you use a mapper? (controller mapper.)

I bought a mapper off of the app store called joystick mapper for like $5. totally worth every cent. you can also use the mapper for games like half life 2, portal and other Steam games. very easy to use and very awesome.

I have this exact same issue if I'm using PS3 drivers that run natively on Valve games. To make it work with those games, the DS3 need to act as a 360 controller.

So I used SCP Driver package that let's my DS3 act like a 360 controller, and the stanley parable works fine now.

I've read somewhere that Motionjoy works for Mac OSX, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's better to start with bootcamp to have Windows and OSX on dualboot, then install/run the SCP drivers in windows to get the controls working.

Edit : Tbh, I couldn't find any save drivers besides the SCP package, and it would be hell to find one made for OSX. If anyone has a better idea..

Btw: Insisting that a mac user run bootcamp instead of actually suggesting possible solutions to the problem is the least helpful way you could have possibly responded to this question.

"Use windows instead" is not a helpful or even adequate response to "Can you help me make this work on os x?"
