Stanley Parable keeps crashing my computer
I'm trying to play Stanley Parable on my laptop computer, but it keeps crashing. To be clear, the game isn't crashing. Steam isn't crashing. My entire computer is crashing. One second I'm playing the game, and the next my computer has shut off, completely without warning.

I'm running it in a window, with most of the graphics settings set pretty low, and CPU usage doesn't seem to be abnormally high before a crash occurs (I've got a widget on the desktop informing me of CPU usage). I also seem to get a little bit furthar each time before a crash.

Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix it?

Does this happen with any other games?
Maybe your computer cannot handle the game, not sure about what specs it has.
It could also be overheating, when a computer overheats, it automatically shuts down.
No, no other game does that. Portal 2 crashes when I try to play custom maps, but its only Portal 2 that crashes, not my computer.

Pretty strange. I crash when I play Dota 2 due to overheating, one of the only reasons.

It does overheat occasionally, but that doesn't seem to be the case in this instance.

Perhaps re-installing may solve the issue.
