Report a translation problem
This very thing was all the rage when the game first came out. Everybody tried everything: inserting every number into the keypad, finding ways to manipulate the game os the narrator would be with you etc. etc. and unfortunately we never found anything.
I only have this game for a couple of days now, so missed that fuzz at the beginning.

OK, I get it. I'll go play it again...
Looking at it and the many comments from previous discussions about it this ending seems like one huge bugfest, lol.
Maybe that is the actual meaning of the sign.
It's not a hint for an alternate version, it's selfirony at all the bugs in that map/scene.

Using (bind "f" "create_flashlight") without the () in the console, you can use the "F" key on your keyboard to brighten up a spot, and I used it on this, then it cleared away the dirt in the way.
