Yes!!!!!! If you had already downloaded the game you don't need to download the whole thing -- just restart Steam and if it still doesn't download the binaries, validate cache files!

Requires 10.8 or higher right now. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

Hi,

I've been experiencing another issue with mouse controls (on 10.8.5 with magic mouse) : everything fine in the menus, but as soon as i get to the game the view starts spinning infinitely in the down/right direction, as if using the mouse to do so. If i try to look up and left it works for a second or only slows down the movement and then goes on spinning again.

I can now tell that Stanley has no feet, but the game is unplayable this way.
Tried altering the settings in the options (mouse speed/acceleration) with no success. With Invert Mouse View selected, the spinning goes up/right instead…

The thing is it reminded me of an issue i had with some Valve/Source games… so i checked back and found this : http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1847654
Looks like it's gamepad related (although i have none connected), but everything went back to normal for me after entering this to the start-up parameters :

-nojoy ((in your Steam library : right click on Stanley Parable > properties > start-up options)

Oh that's interesting - I don't know enough about your game (other than it looks cool and I want to play it), I'm guessing this means it is built on Source and there isn't a Source SDK for Linux yet? If so, kind of crazy that Valve isn't pushing that as a top priority at this point! They need as many games on Linux as possible if they expect SteamOS to be a success.

I thought maybe 'Nothing I can do about this' meant no plans for Linux at all! Good to hear you are considering it :)

I'd love to get the game running on Linux! It's just really tricky due to not having the source -- and not having access to perforce so I can't see what they changed to get TF2 running and backport that to Portal 2.

Game sometimes crashes on load screens/stage transitions specially near the ending screens - which drives you kinda crazy because you don't know what is real or not - but pretty sure the crash is real as it's logged by my macbook. I suppose this comes with a new release - so hopefully patch is coming?

Thanks for reporting! I think this is in the 'common issues' sticky.

When I get some free time, if you want we can look into what exactly it's detecting as a gamepad and see if we can properly fix this :)

In my MacBook Pro Retina doesn't work. Appears: ERROR. Setup files "GameInfo.txt" doesn't exist in subdirectory "thesanleyparable". Check your game parameter or VCONFIG setting".

There is one slight problem. I am aware you are making a patch for lower versions of OS X, but in attempting to download Maverick, the latest version, the download is stuck. This is a frequent problem accoring to their website. On top of the fact that they make any other lower version unavailable to download. I just.....I just....want to play....my video game. Why? WHY???
