Yes!!!!!! If you had already downloaded the game you don't need to download the whole thing -- just restart Steam and if it still doesn't download the binaries, validate cache files!

Requires 10.8 or higher right now. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

I don't know the answer to your question. However, Mac is letting people update their os up to 10.9.1 (a.k.a. OS X Mavericks) for free. I don't know how long this is lasting, but you can find the free update in the desktop app store. I hope this helps!

I just purchased this and it starts up fine, but when I get into the game, none of the textures load and most of everything is black.

i have tried validating the cache files, but the game still does not want to open. I realize that others are having this same problem, i was just wonder if anyone knew why it was happening

Hi, just downloaded this for Mac OS X and the cotroller support is not functioning. My ps3 controller works fine for Steam's Big Picture mode and other games - but not The Stanley Parable. Thanks for your help : )
