Also, you can jump down without dying if after the phone room, you pretend to enter the platform with the added barriers and gate, but sneak out immediately before the gate closes and the platform crossesover the warehouse area without you. You can just drop down and walk around safely.

You are freaking amazing. As disappointing as it is that there's no hidden map, I'm really just glad someone told me a way to get down there. Thanks man.
But as Lord Cthulhu said, there is a kill barrier once you get low enough.
You can also use console commands (search the forums for a guide) to delete the kill barrier, or to teleport below it, or to delete any object, or any timer, or access any timer, or really whatever you want. Exploring each area through teleport commands is really fun. You can even get through the end barrier and out into the blue skies and grass area. It's cool to see how they built this game.
