It's limited by the time it takes for the satellites to crash down. Also if the areas overlap, they should hit multiplie times if an enemy doesn't die on first hit.
Ah, sorry, my mistake. I meant the vortex upgrade not the normal hailstorm ability.
No, that should be triggering as fast as it can, at least I wouldn't know why it shouldn't.
Ok. Really appreciate the answer!
I might play with a super-high-speed hailstorm again to check this out and actually do some math this time, instead of just how it "felt". lol
So it's entirely possible that the effects get applied way more often than you would assume from the animation.
I can confirm that already. The animation definitely doesn't keep up. What I didn't know was if the damage was somehow linked to the animation. Good to know it isn't.
At the time, i judged it by how fast mobs in front of me died. 5 applications was needed for max stacks, and there was significant overlap between vortexes. A single frost wave would kill any pack. So i was expecting anything in front of me to die in less than ½ second. Some stuff definitely wasn't. Could have been a lot of things that impacted this though. I'll open a new thread if I play with this again and something isn't right.
