How do I Prolonged Suffering?

I ran an exterminator build with no abilities, pushing burn dam and chance as much as possible until I literally can't take any more traits on Agony and beat the boss and don't think I even got 100 kills of progress.

May as well just progress normally until you get all characters. Most characters have an elemental focus, so you'll naturally accrue points for that quest while you continue. Means less of a slog later when you go back to it.

I found that the Dragon Breath skill seems to jank the point accumulation. After a couple runs using it, I noticed a whopping 0 accumulation for the quest from those runs (I was also running Exterminator). If you're running fire, don't use it. As the Exterminator, spin so you're flaming in all directions. You don't want to kill them with the flamethrower, just burn them. The DoT has to kill them for it to count.

A frost build also works, but frost isn't a DoT. You have to accumulate 20 stacks, then it messes them up. Hailstorm is OP, but it will probably just flat out kill? You can try it. Frost Avalanche w/ the full screen snowstorm trait, in Haunted Caverns or Ember Grounds should accumulate it pretty well.

It's still among the slower to accumulate though, so it'll take a few runs.

Gotcha. I don't have any elemental besides fire and I *just* unlocked sorceress. I really wanted to get this one before moving on but it sounds like maybe I should come back to it.
