Arcane Splinters
Radiant Aura
Phantom Needles (rift upgrade)
Ring Blades (piercing upgrade)
Warlock
Cleric
since you have to do this quest with Cleric, pick him and dont use Fire or Lightning Ring.
Transfixion will probably deal the most dmg, but you can do a no ability run on map 1 with Cleric only and this will be more than enough.
Cheers!
I was also wondering how to fulfill this quest. I used the ring of fire, arcane splinters, golem and transfixion, still somehow didn't finish this quest, even though arcane splinters alone dealt over 7 mil damage...
Could this be bugged or am I missing something?
False Blessing requires to pick Cleric and dealing Magic Damage.
Cleric Main Weapon, dont use elemental rings
Transfixion - Arcane Splinters - Radiant Aura
Those are your sources for magic damage.
probably a bug. e.rings affect main atk only according to the description
This tripped me up for a long time also; in this game Elemental damage (like fire) DOES NOT count as Magic damage. You can think of Magic damage as being like "neutral" magic only.
Arcane splinters is Physical; if you have the upgrade that explodes, (I think) only the explosion is Magic damage.
I think you mixed Arcane Splinters with Phantom Needles.
But something that came to my mind, could be again bad wording.
You have to deal the magic damage with Clerics MW exclusive.
Thinking about the other damage quests:
Swordplay Mastery III - Deal 3 000 000 damage with the main weapon.
(it clearly says main weapon)
Inferno I - Deal 300 000 fire damage in one run.
(you dont have any other fire damage source before unlocking this quest, except Ring of Fire maybe)
Demonic Commander I - Deal 500 000 summon damage in one run.
(unlocks Golem, so same with Inferno I)
I cant remember, if any of those quests could be completed with abilites, so those might be related exclusivly to main weapons only.
I did a run without any abilities and the MW did the trick! Thanks
