Experience hoard Feels utterly Impossible 499/500

I have tried for the past 10 hours to get this last achievement, used 10 artifacts, used the guides on here but the closest I have gotten thus far is 138, heck even spent 2 hours in the vault and that only resulted in level 100.

I'm just at a loss.

I was only able to reach 150 by leaving lots of scrolls and chests on the ground during my run. Pick them up after the boss fight and decline the reward, instead taking the XP. Since they give half a level, their highest XP value is at the end of your run.

then something went wrong in your runs.

I would stay away from the Vault, since this is significant harder then anything else due enemy scaling.
Key for both builds is to move as less as possible.
This resulsts in more spawns = more kills.
Only picking neccessary Scrolls/Books and leaving others till the end for more xp is needed,
if you dont have an excessive amount of shards.

You don't need to spend more than 1 tax to enter the vault and achieve this. When you go in, stick to just 1 ability and kill everything leaving all the chests and exceeded scrolls. Once you are like lvl 140 or higher, kill the boss and take all the chests and scrolls refusing the rewards to gain exp until lvl 150. Good luck.

2 hours in the vault? Sounds like you aren't killing fast enough. Personally I had a lot of trouble trying to do this on normal maps so I went into the vault and just stayed there for an hour. It's harder but it's easier to me than try to figure out the right build to kill them in enough of a time frame. I had at least 80 torment shards so that helped Sage become strong enough to get to lvl 150 around an hour.

How many torment shards have you allocated?
I had like ~200 at the time I attempted this achievement with the Sage.
Took me about 50 minutes in the Vault, but I did get it eventually. :P

180 sounds OK.

Hm... I honestly don't know then.
My BEST guess is that your build (char, items, abilities) is just weak at killing stuff, so you need to gear up / shard up / item up, and get better abilities.
Read up on some builds that can help you with this.
