you could maybe stack up defense and block. Didn't try that yet.
BRO THEY DID, THE 2 WALLS COMBINED AND STUCK ME INSIDE AT 1 SECOND LEFT LOOL
but i'm actually playing it right now as I type this, and i was able to use maxed out dragon breath ability to smash through and kill the ghosts.
Just stack health and just run through or my favorite way is hit 1-2 ghosts repeated with slow abilitys untill they fall so much behind that you get a opening.
I haven't seen anything in the patch notes about it, but I haven't had it happen since switching to the beta.
I don't think they can die, I think what you were seeing was the Dragon Breath's pushback upgrade shoving them around and making gaps.
Alternatively, you can chew through the wall with enough damage. Try lightning conversion ring and use Transfiction ability to stack vulnerability on a mob. Just make sure you're close. You just need to make an opening for your character to step in when the walls close, you don't have to straight up drill through them. Also, as other players have mentioned, transfixion augment that applies slow can over time make it so the wall formation gradually "bends" due to you applying slow.
But, imho, killing them seems to be the easiest. Just stay close so most of your cone hits one or two dudes.
For me transfixion + kugelblitz with chain lightning augment + lightning strike ability seems to do the trick. You will end up killing the wall mobs and have plenty of time on the timer to farm up to 100 or do anything else you desire.
Edited in: Those mobs have a lot of health, but they're not immortal. Just stay close and stutter-step.
