Where can I make the most gold?

Which map gives the most gold?

I'm just farming gold and torrent shards for Vault runs at the moment so I want to know which map ends with the most torment score and other stats that determine the amount of gold you get in the end?

Haunted Caverns because you can get the most kills there?

If you can easily farm 20+ artifact runs you don't need gold. You're already in end game, with top tier gear and everything unlocked, where gold is obsolete.

No, but beyond getting all the achievements, there's no real reason to keep doing it.

Anyway, the thing is that if you're that far in the game, you should know where to farm gold, if you wanna keep farming the Vault for whatever reason.

Ring Blades will crush everything that can break and your insane pickup range will deliver it easy to you.
Only important thing, you always should be 1-2 screens away from the Well,
so breakables have enough time/room to respawn.

I did it with Archer's Mark in Haunted Caverns, took lots of movement speed and started hunting for the gold slimes.

2. No.
If you a break a crate somewhere, it can happen that you dont see the Gold Slime.
Suddenly he charges in your FoV and turns silver.
In Forgotten Viaduct you have full control and vision about the breakables.

Suddenly he charges in your FoV and turns silver.

When your movement speed is high you run into crates all the time, I got the achievement first try. Haunted Caverns is also easier than Forgotten Viaduct enemy wise, but I'd do this quest in normal mode (not Agony) anyway. If Forgotten Viaduct doesn't work out for you go Haunted.

IMO, due to the random nature of how Shard tributes are added to the Vault, not really, unless you have tons of gold and find a way to nuke the boss as fast as possible.

You can get a lot of Torment Shards from a regular map with 6+ artifacts.

You can get a lot of Torment Shards from a regular map with 6+ artifacts.

They're not random. You get +1 every 4 rolls. Also, you can finish the vault in a couple of minutes and rake in 5-10 depending on how well you can play. Sure you can get a bunch from a normal map, esp with the mirror, but 45+ minutes for a normal run where you only get 8-10 hardly compares to doing the vault where you could get 60+ in the same timeframe.
