How do you get the Slippery Little Crawler achievement?

This is the achievement text:

Slippery Little Crawler
- Squish a slippery Gold Slime.

I've killed multiple golden slimes with the shield maiden and I still haven't gotten this achievement is there some special type of slippery gold slime or is there some specific way that you are supposed to squish it.

Edit: I managed to get the achievement it seems like it might just be a bit finnicky. This time around it looks like it awarded the achievement before the golden slime even died unless there just also happened to be another one off screen that died slightly faster. It doesn't seem like any special kill methods were required since I had my main weapon off at the time and it died to the morning star.

are you sure you kill it fast enough before it loses all its gold? try to use blood catcher to maximize your damage and play 3stage (its easiest way to find them)

You are supposed to kill it before it turns silver so that you earn the big gold drop from it. If you kill it and get a big load of gold out of it all at once, then you should get the achievement.

If you kill it like that and still don't get the achievement, then I am not sure.

And of course, on the next run I got the achievement. I never saw the Gold Slime. So maybe it means kill it before it can lay any gold down.

I went back and looked for that moment I got the achievement. In the picture, in the upper left corn you will see a circle, with at least one piece of gold, and then a pile of gold. The only thing that happened just prior to this was finding the pink pentagram (Unholy Strength +100% damage). I can only guess that you have to kill it quickly.

Oh good, it doesn't mean the LARGE gold slimes cuz I still haven't even been close to killing a large gold...

Jaeus it was imposiible even with +10000% damage from blood catcher

I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with freezing.

"Slippery" is one possible clue.

The other is the fact that the big pile of gold is dead center in that circle. Not sure what those circles indicate but I was running a build that converted all my damage to Freeze.

Not "any" but it definitely requires you to kill it while it's still gold. This is tricky because they essentially count number of hits rather than actual damage, Shieldmaiden can't really attack quickly unless she's getting hit, and of course Gold Slimes don't deal damage.

Number of hits... makes sense.
