Vault Farming

I kind of ignored the Vault after doing the achievements but then discovered its the ultimate way to get shards. I am using archer and spending about 15k per run which nets me around 38 Torment Shards per run. Insane. I have been running 19 minutes then killing the boss at 20 minutes.

Is there any reason to go 20 minutes? Or will 15 minutes net the same amount of shards. I have not had time to test yet. Any farming tips appreciated.

edit: Im clicking the spend button until it hits 15k so its more like im spending 200k. I had like 3.5 million gold saved up and now I can abuse it.

As far as I can tell the amount of shards only increases via modifiers when entering the vault and once every 30 minutes since scaling for all monsters increases. It shouldn't make a difference whether you kill him 1 minute or 29 minutes into a run.

You get +1 shard every 4 rolls. Guaranteed.

The fastest you can earn shards would probably be to roll for +2/3 then speed run it in a few minutes. Rather than going for a really big run and taking way longer.
