Sorceress build?
Just finished a run with her but I keep wondering what is the "best" build for her. I played in early access and at that time Sorceress was no doubt the most underwhelming character for me. While other characters could crush through agony mode, she had a very hard time surviving it. If I got lucky I could deal a lot of damage, but my Shieldmaiden could deal as much damage and at the same time, 100 times tankier. Therefore I just couldn't see a reason to play her. Of course I believe I played her in a wrong way, but I failed to figure out the right build for her.
Now with 1.0 release, we can definitely do some non-senses with more upgrades and uncommon gears, but I still have the same question. Should I focus on her main weapon damage? Or go for a full spark damage build? Or both?

Hi,

you can either go for Spark or direct damage.
In the later minutes, you will rarely hit something with her MW due short range,
if you pick Kugelblitz > Lightning Strike > Astronomer's Orbs as Abilites.

No matter which route you will choose, those 3 Abilites will take over at some point and keep the screen clear of enemies.

Direct Damage feels stronger now due possible endless sclaing of %Damage.
You can also do a hybrid, but Spark will stop dealing significant damage at one point, since everything dies in 1 hit.
Spark is still insane for melting the Wraith Wall in Forgotten Viaduct though.

Cheers!

If you using Orbs you need to get the lightning/spark evolution upgrade or it not a lightning/shock skill.

Thanks! In fact I did pick Kugelblitz for that run and after surviving the earlier minutes it just started to melt everything. I even considered doing the 66.6k kills with this as it did insane damage! Guess I just gonna play around it and see how it works.
I can't.
Even focusing on those spells.
I keep dying early. I can get like 1 scroll or two, but I run out of revive soon after.

Its not like you can just come back to pick up loots, and relying on magnet drop from crates along your way, seems unreliable.

I use:
ThunderCrown
Electrostatic treads
Hunting gloves
Blood catcher
Copper ring
Iron ring
Mark of the sword

And put all my shards into attackspeed or multistrike

Depending on your overall progress, you could try one of those two in here:

Keep in mind due DoT changes, Spark isnt that powerful compared to a Direct DMG Crit Build.
