"Limited Knowledge" Quest

"As the sage, avoid acquiring abilities for 26 minutes." How is the sage supposed to do this when you have to pick an ability the second the round starts? Does this mean, don't pick up any ability scrolls after starting? Can you pick up ability scrolls, but only if you upgrade your Main Weapon?

Hi,

as soon as the window pops up, you have to discard it via the red X in the upper right corner.
You can do a run only with items and still win.

As an example:

You have to cancel your initial ability scroll as well. Click the X and you get +50% XP instead.

Use items like Ulyaoth suggested. It's very doable.

Apparently, it doesn't count as an ability for the quest, which seems kinda boring :(

EN: You can take skills during the first 4 minutes. The 26min timer for the quest starts from the last skill you have picked up, stop at 26:05 and complete the run. I've tried to pick scroll for upgrade: reset the timer, so you cant take them ! But you can still levelup the spell !

FR: Vous pouvez prendre des compétences pendant les 4 premières minutes. Le timer des 26min pour la quête commence a partir de la dernière compétence récupérée, arrêtez vous a 26:05 et complétez la run. J'ai essayé de prendre un parchemin pour une upgrade : Reset timer, du coup on ne peut pas les prendres ! Mais vous pouvez toujours levelup les spells !

Oh did they change this recently? I tried doing this with the first skill 2 days ago and seems to remember the skill resetting the timer. End up using Ulyaoth's meme build.

I definitely didn't pick another ability after the 26:05 mark and still didn't get the achievement. I was trying to go for the 15+ ability upgrade achievement and this at the same time, and only had 4 abilities + 1 main (since first ability is main for sage), so I'm not sure if upgrading abilities disables it or not.

they consider the upgrade as a skill, as said in my message above, if you upgrades your spell, it will reset the counter to 0 so if you do it after 26:00 you won’t get the achievement. Personally I even avoid taking the scrolls for the exp by refusing them in doubt.
If you do it in normal mode, just leveling them is enough to win a game
