If you are on "Experimental Branch", Blood Catcher might not carry you anymore,
so pumping Torment Shards into Damage is adviced.
Another resort is doing it in the Vault, but this will take some time.
Cheers!
Tried dozens of builds and maps. The problem is even with rerolling i rarely get the +xp traits and this dude is such a pain as he lacks movement and defense. Vault is fine until 30 minutes, then there are enemies everywhere and its just a matter of time until i died my three times.
Some tips or specific builds i could try?
Someone commented in the Achievement Guide it worked there.
What Build you are using?
No Mark (optional, maybe Mark of the Arrow for +0.10 Base Crit /Swordsman +10 Base dmg)
Wind Crown (Tailwind)
Collar of Cinfidence (Energiezed) OR Blood Catcher (Enhancement)
(havent tried which is better lately)
Wooden Ring (Boost) + Guiding Star (Enhanced) (Attack/Movement Speed)
OR Copper RIng (Boost)
Blood-Soaked Shirt (Undying)
Spike Boots (Escapist) (for Defense)
Hunting Gloves (Boost) OR Quickhand Gloves (Boost)
Torment Shards into DMG
Artifacts Hastening Sands, Scale of Pain, Torment Banner, Restless Wheel
(scrap Torment banner if you get moshed)

Grab the 2nd ability ASAP and start picking the 3d when you dont have anymore Character Traits in your pool.
Use Sage's Tier V WP - Knowledge for an Ability Upgrade OR pick Dedication in hope for more Scrolls (RNG)
I did it just now.
First map, seven artifacts (the ones increasing spawns and then anything that doesnt hurt you), get only Phantom Needles and Ring Blades. Go all in on a crit build. Don't collect any scrolls or chests until the very end. Depending on your champion luck you could increase artifacts but I got absolutely demolished when multiple casters appeared at once and threw their ♥♥♥♥ at me while kiting the blob. And this setup gives you enough EXP already.
The most important part is being fast enough to avoid enemies at the start.
I used:
- Wind Crown (piercing variant)
- Gatherer's Charm
- Echoing Band + Wooden Ring (variant doesn't matter much - I went with growth)
- Blood-Soaked Shirt (undying variant)
- Running Shoes (variant prob doesn't matter - I only have growth available atm)
- Hunting Gloves (growth variant)
- Mark of the Shield
Boots and amulett are mostly because I just couldnt avoid stuff otherwise. You could prob take 40% flat speed and switch the amulett to something more useful.
Ability upgrades (order prob irrelevant but I felt like Phantom Split early helps the most):
- Phantom Split
- Piercing Blades
- Cyclone
- Phantom Rift
As everbody else mentioned -> double the effect of bonus exp trait
Take all the crit traits for both abilities. The rest depends on how well you are able to survive. Early movement speed helped. Little bit of def and block as well. Then I focused on crit and multistrike whenever I could.
Keep one of the claw items on the ground until the boss is spawned so you can get all the exp drops you missed all at once.
With this I could have pushed to like 152 or 153 after collecting and turning all the scrolls and chests into EXP - I just stopped at 150 because I was lazy but I still had a few items to collect left over. The run ended at 70k kills and I reached 139 when the boss spawned. So it'd give you the kill achievement as well if you still need that.
Easier than the Vault at least. 5+ artifacts plus jade amulet plus xp perks (with doubling, yeah).
As to what build to use, projectile-oriented Sage is the easiest to use by a rather large margin.
