However, every quest you complete also adds to a global % increase to experience gain during runs so don't count out the gold quests either. All completion is helpful.
check your Quest Board regulary.
(can be done midrun as well via Quest Button in the lower left corner on your char screen)
You will get the feeling, which quests you are able to clear and which ones should be left for later.
IMO one of the most important things, dont be too stubborn early on.
You have no linear progression and you dont have to clear Haunted Caverns before atempting Ember Grounds.
In fact, you always might want to do a quick dip into new Halls, since some quests can be done by rushing them and give you a large boost in general power.
