Alternatively, just go Living Bomb. The Flame Strike "Nuke" build has been reborn from the ashes!

Essentially, go Sage with Exterminator mark.
-- Use Memory Potions to get Flow (Tier 3, 6, 10), and also get Overpowered (Tier 3, 6, 10).
-- For the other tiers, get either Burn Chance or Critical Damage.
=== Double the effects of Overpowered with Reverberant Potion.
-- Get the Sage's "Increase Elemental Chance" and Exterminator's "Increase Burn Chance."
-- Once one reaches Level 24 and has a Tier 3 upgrade for Flame Strike, get Blazing Emberfall.
=== Enjoy clearing the screen of enemies, which only gets better the stronger you get!
While the build was nerfed before, I think the Sage's ability to increase burn chance (increase all elemental effect chance) helps get it back into its screen-clearing glory days. Not sure if the ability is more or less powerful than it was originally, but it clears screens and that's good enough for me!
I have to try this myself, sounds and looks very promising.
I had most of the time good results with picking a fast ability first, or picking two at once.
Not everything works though.
IMO the biggest problem is his movement speed, which can you kill in the first two minutes.
My first run with him was full Summoner with both Rings, Gloves and Necklace.
Astronomer's Orbs as starter + Spectral Fists.
I used no Mark mith him and made use of his own Traits.
Gorgon Mask + Broker's Cape + pace Setters solved the Speed Problem for me.
Shepherd's Boon was the Healing Source, every defensive Trait got scrapped instantly.
And stacking every source of Defense+Regen I could find because Sage makes Archer look like a tank.
Not sure if bug or intended, but the Ability which becomes the "Main Weapon" does not disable those Ability gloves whose name I forget. Though the value of 66% Damage on a character with free Dmg% per level is a bit reduced regardless
On my first attempt I wanted to know how Spectral Fist gains stats from Flame Strike, which went okay in the end, but nothing impressive.
Flame Strike cant explode anymore with "Consectuive Punches"

The second one went similar, but felt alot more powerful.
Meteor Strike build into Fireball and Dragons breath into Stream of Fire is a nice addition for the end game, but not neccessary.

My attempts to use this characher as a mage on the agony mode end quite quickly)))

He's a very hard character to start with for sure, but once he gets going he's unstoppable.
For more consistently good runs you gotta run mark of the archer imo.

My friend got it with Krugerblitz for weapon and Archer's mark. You can stack attack speed with Archer traits to completely break KB.

If you go FULL spectral fist you are literally a god with Sage and nothing can come close to you, elites die in less than a second, boss dies before you can blink. Trick is to take NO marks at all, and do not under any circumstances grab a 2nd ability. It ruins the build because your choices are now filled with things that don't make you beyond OP.
They are powerful enough by the end of the run, but they're too slow at the very beginning.
My favorite weapon for the sage is the phantom needles) They're fast and strong from the very beginning.
If you like, check "The Way of 1000 Fists"

The crucial part is to get "Adaption" at lvl 24, so you can upgrade the Fists with Consecutive Punches.
You want also have picked Tier II Char Abilities BEFORE lvl 24 (15-23), to make as much room as possible in your Trait Pool.
In the end, you can turn almost every Ability into a Weapon of Mass Destruction with Sage.
