Spectral Fists Specialist [A guide that works]

♥♥♥♥ everything about this quest, this is a stain on an otherwise great game. In short, I've tried all the guides (most of them are not good anymore, but have some important tips, more on that later), with different classes in the end I was finally able to get it so I want to share my experience.

Class: Cleric

Stage: Ember Grounds (Agony)

Gear:
1) Mask of Madness --> Later upgrade to the Conversion mask variant
2) Jade Amulet --> You need XP to get to lvl 80 ASAP, pick up everything that gives you XP, tomes especially
3) Copper Ring --> Later upgrade to the Growth ring variant
4) Wooden Ring --> Later upgrade to the Boost ring variant
5) Running Shoes --> Later upgrade if possible, but it's not necessary
6) Defiant Plate
7) Spellcaster Gloves --> Later upgrade to the Hyperfocus variant
8) Mark --> Pick the Sage mark, this is important as your cleric must get Sage lvl up choices

Pick Spectral Fists, and ONLY Spectral Fists --> don't upgrade them to Spectral Clutch or Ground Pound

You don't need (banish these as you need to increase your choices):
- Attack speed
- Multistrike
- Block
- Defense
- Parry
- Area
- Range

You need:
- Regeneration (pick both the traditional and the Cleric specific one)
- Health bonus (pick when you can)
- Critical Hit Chance (max this out)
- Critical Damage Bonus (max this out)
- All traits that increase damage and crit chance for Spectral Fists, force is not as important, pick that only when you don't have any other choice

Important --> Use the Reverberant Tinkture (the effects of that trait will be applied twice) on these specific traits for Spectral Fists:

1) Concentration +50% damage
2) Concentration + 75% damage
3) Power +40% damage (Tier 10 trait)

With this strategy, you should be able to last until lvl 80+, get the 25K+ damage relatively early and just last enough to get the 500 hits required before the timer runs out.

I followed this to the letter and just barely scaped by at the boss killing skulls at the end to get the 40 or so 25K kills that I was missing from the 500 count. Jesus murphy that was hard compared to the other 293 other achievements I have earned so far. This gave me seizures quite a few times. I'd go so far as to say it was abuse earning this one.

I also can't see how MilkGoneBad could have done it with 10 minutes left. That would be super impressive as well as impossible in my minds eye.

I wholeheartedly agree, all the other achievements pale in comparison compared to this one. I'm glad all of you were able to achieve it in the end.

Finally made it. Thanks for hints. Messed up with hyperfocus gloves but still made it with normal ones when about 5 minutes left.
