About Uncommon items from Agony

Is there any way to tell which variant of an item you have just a glance, without using your mouse?

I mean, if I showed you a screenshot of my inventory in any Agony run that has an uncommon item in it, would you know just from that screenshot, which variant I had equipped?

Besides using WASD (or whatevermovement keys) to highlight the item,
at a first glance, not that I know of.
They look all the same.

I can't help you with how they look (the same). However, I have a big tip for you.

If you pray to your relevant gaming god prior re-rolling chests it is possible to prevent it from rolling the same items again (it isn't). With a strong enough prayer (restarting your run) you can ensure that you get the items you want from a re-roll every time (you can't).

My gamer god recently abandoned me to read and watch Solo Leveling (can't blame em). Thankfully, my gaming god passed some info onto me (i looked at the code in the game) before heading out. So now I'm resorting to conventional means to increase my chances of getting what I want. Let me pass that on to you too!

If you un-equip items you don't want uncommon versions of, before opening/rerolling a chest, you greatly increase your chances of getting an uncommon of items you have left equipped.

This is because it scales the chance of getting an uncommon version of something you are wearing by the amount of items you are wearing (wear less = higher chance).

I had theorised that this was the case, but wasn't sure. Thanks for clarifying. Problem is though as I'm sure that you're aware, we are still at the mercy of RNG as bosses don't always drop the red chests. Instead they either drop scrolls or worthless money. I don't need money as I have millions of gold already.
