Hi,

Exterminator
- Mark of Incineration
- Wind Crown, Mask of madness
- Elemental Resonator
- Ring of Fire, Guiding Star
- any Armor (I used Blazing Shell)
- Pace Setter
- Sparking Tips, Quickhand Gloves

Weapon Proficiency - Hellfire I-IV
Proficient Stance - Conflagration I-IV
Dedication - Heat I-IV

X+X = memory potion
x2 = Double Potion

Dragon's Breath
I Coverage + Flammability
II Coverage + Recovery
III Flammability + Agony x2
IV Coverage + Recovery
V Coverage + Flammability
VI Recovery + Agony x2
VII Flammability
VIII Recovery
XI Flammability
X Coverage + Recovery + Agony x2

Pick Stream of Fire Upgrade after poicking Tier III Trait and you will have it in no time.

Good Luck,
Cheers!

Breaking it down like that is tedious and pointless.
And you don't even need the Coverage ones.

I did it easily on Cleric.
Just stack Effect Chance and Attack Speed. The whole point is just to max burn stacks crazy quickly, with the enemies not dying too much before the Burn stack cap is reached.

You don't need to do anything special with main weapon or equipment.'

I recommend Crossing or Frozen for the map for bulkier enemies. In fact, the ghost wall on Crossing might itself provide an easy immortal target for this particular achievement.

Took me 20mins to complete with only a few of the items, thanks for the help!

To anyone else looking for what to do, the complete text of the quest is: "...apply burn to enemies with 20 stacks of burn" this I assume is cap and makes any additional stacks of burn turn into instant damage and count for the quest.

Hi guys,
I honestly did it before the replies. I took cleric, took burn items and got it done in two runs.

Thank you :)

Cleric On hit effect chance only applies to debuffs (slow, affliction, fragile) and does absolutely nothing for burn , electrify , frost.

Damn the direct damage from burn is insane.

Exactly his point, thats how pointless it is.

Knowing a super optimised min-max is cool and i love theory crafting as well, but you dont need anything that specific for any achievements and it gives the wrong impression of the game.

You'd do a lot better teaching them some basics like

Damage achievements = take damage upgrades, damage, crit, multi-strike & fire rate
Status effect achievements = take effect upgrades, effect chance, fire rate/multi-strike
Waiting a while before picking up scrolls so you can get the ability upgrades as most of those will auto complete most achieves without trying.

like to answer OP's question you can summarise it as:

Pick Stream of Fire Upgrade

Done, sorted, that upgrade changes the ability into a flame thrower rather than a slow firing wave.

This achievement only gains credit for stacks applied after 20. So you have to NOT kill the mob while applying those 20. Do it on a higher stage where mobs have more HP. Most stuff in act 1 is just going to straight up die on you. That's why you only got 303.

@Tazzunda is right.
You can try it on Haunted Caverns Agony.
Ember Grounds Normal should work.
Forgotten Viaduct Normal definetly works.
Everything else as well.
Big Mad Wolf Jan 26, 2024 @ 1:32am
Okey, at least now I understand, why always achieved so little, as the important part of the description is cut off...
Garion May 14, 2024 @ 9:28pm
Forgotten Viaduct Normal is the easiest.
With the list of items from OP's post, you just keep heading north(or south) until you encounter the ghostly phalanx enemy and keep walking back near it.
Since they do not die, they will keep accumulating burn charges and you'll easily get the achievement in like 3-5 minutes.

I was following this guide and everything seemed to be working well up until maybe 5 minutes in, but then something broke. I was doing Act IV, got up to 319/10000 and then it just stopped counting! I played until I had 12 minutes left, but did not get a single increase. There's just no way that I didn't get 20 stacks of burn even on the bosses! They took quite a while to whittle down, and I had 195% burn chance!
I'm very certain that I stumbled upon a bug.

Update: I died with 4:15 remaining, still at 319/10000. 100% a bug! I stood right next to several bosses for a minute straight, not a single increase to the counter.

For the record:
my Dragon's Breath stats at the end were:
DMG 128'041
DPS 462
Burn chance on hit 195%
Attack speed ~0.65/s
