Which summon rings should I use on Warlock?
Are the Imps better than the Skeletons? The math would indicate so, but they seem to behave weird and stop attacking sometimes.
Are the Rats actually decent for normal runs (when not going for debuff stacking)?

Hi,

from raw power wise, Imps are the best, but their attack range is relative short and more based around you.
Skeletons have the second place and behave different, depending on the Skeleton itself, but have a high attack range.
Rats have the lowest damage but ran around everywhere applying debuffs, which boost damage over all.

For raw power, Skeletons and Imps, but Imps become useless after a while, when you can deal enough damage and enemies cant come close enough, great for Bosses though.

Rats and Sekeltons may give you the most benefits in the long run in all scenarios.

Cheers!

Two best rings for summoner build are the skeleton ring and +10 dmg ring. the dmg ring actually gives a base +10 to every summon type as well. this is your best early game and late game scaling option by far.

Not to mention using double potions on Weapon Proficiency - Sacrfice III + IV for +30 Base Damage.

Is this actually mathematically better than running two summon rings, though?

Depends on the whole situation with char, equipment, upgrades, traits etc.

Without going into complete depths of math, I woud say no.
Scaling might be better, but it is good to have more entities that can deal damage.

Yes, but only because you must factor in dps uptime. It isn't the highest dps, but it is the highest dps with uptime because necromancers clutch has the biggest range. As you level more and clear faster it is the only set of summons that will reach the edge of the screen. The imps do 0 dps late game.

EDIT: Compare this with whatever else you might be doing. This isn't set in stone. If you are using Shepard's Boon for example, the best rings are necro + pest, because the additional pest summons drive your dps waaay up thanks to the +5% per summon bonus.

or you use Summons Only. They have all a small reach and Imps will have things to kill into lategame.
