I have beaten the game - true final ending destroy the ghost wall
I have beaten the game true final ending by killing an entire ghost wall section in Viaduct Agony V/Max. I was starting to doubt that was even possible. I had punched holes into and bent apart ghost walls, but was beginning to think maybe they weren't even dying but rather force pushback was just displacing and crunching them outwards. Then by chance I was doing a Cleric run just trying only to get the slow stack achievement, so a lot of effect chance, attack speed non-damage, regen/defense, cleric mark for even more chance, goo boots, rat ring, wind crown, brokers cape, collar of confidence with pickup range gloves, and an experiment into frost damage with the ice ring and frost avalanche slows. I ended up with upgraded versions of almost or maybe even all of my starting items. I built towards main weapon (-area/range) and was expecting that to be the focus. Frost was looking average but closer to endgame something really weird started happening with frost damage where I checked stats and all of a sudden it was literally 10x my main weapon in dps and total and everything around me was just getting shredded with frost somehow before I could even main weapon swing on it sometimes. Anyway with the most absurd damage I can remember seeing, totally unexpectedly with this build, I started making a huge hole in the wall and was legit killing them in high volume. If you look closely the ghost wall bros have an actual dying animation, some of them drop gold bricks, and I had so much unexpected dps that in the last few minutes I cleaned up and killed an ENTIRE ghost wall before the end of the run. This may be a historic event for mankind. Anything is possible. I have beaten and found the ending of a game which has no ending. Frost Damage (384k, 84m), Holy Sceptre (dmg/speed/multi, 39k, 19m), Transfixion(multi/speed/crippling/cuts, 36k, 17m), Orbs(speed/orbs, ice converted, no demonic traits at all, 39k, 10m), all others weak 5k or less although I had both Frost Avalanche (chance, waves) and Hailstorm (and ice orbs and a completely non-upgraded spirit warrior) feeding into the frost damage. Stage 5 is not ready for me.

Okay yeah Frost just gets absurd late. I just had my best run ever and killed BOTH GHOST WALLS in one run (agony mode) by going ultra pure frost effect build:

Class: Beast Huntress
Mark: Beast Huntress (+15% frost)
Mask of Madness (base)
Ring of Frost (not sure an upgrade even exists)
Collar of Confidence (base - p.s. I'm assuming this is more damage than Elemental Resonator which tended to feel undertuned to me but I could be wrong)
Pest Ring (base)
Berserker Boots (base)
Broker's Cape (Quickhands)
Longfinger Gloves (160% upgrade, combo item with collar)
...so oddly mostly just basic items this time

I prioritized frost chance (proficient), ice damage (weapon proficiency), force (dedication), summon speed and spawn and ice conversion, defense/+regen, attack speed/multi/effect-chance/force/etc. mostly non-damage except the basic neutrals like 10% damage and some crit. I got a combined six or so level 40's, and doubled the best ones such as 40% frost chance, 30% frost damage, and maybe the 40% damage main weapon.

pre-boss stats:
Level 126

Frost Damage - 967k dps (NOT A TYPO), 201 million total

Frost Spear (main attack) - 25k, 10 mil

Frost Avalanche - 13k, 8 mil - frost chance, attack speed, waves, never damage - Quick Freeze frost patches and Debris Avalanches extra projectiles

Summon Golem - 9k, 3 mil - ice converted (+demonic speed and spawn but not damage), everything non-damage related and no full ability upgrades

Astronomers Orbs - 9k, 3 mil - ice converted (+demonic speed and spawn but not damage), speed and orbs only, inner orbit only

Hound - 8k, 5 mil - ice converted (+demonic speed and spawn but not damage)

Hailstorm - 2k, 564k - I hate this ability. I don't even know how to compare the level ups I just pick them semi-randomly. I almost never stop to drop the ability down. Spikes and vortex ability upgrades both.

Spirit Warrior - 1k, 746k - ice converted (+demonic speed and spawn but not damage), basically no upgrades

Pest Ring - 1k, 580k

I can't tell what the tipping point specifically is but it feels pretty underwhelming for a long time and then by the last 10 minutes there is some critical mass of frost related abilities and upgrades, maybe combined with affliction stacks, where eventually a switch just flips and frost goes completely bonkers and starts evaporating the entire screen. Started on the first ghost wall with maybe 12 minutes to go and especially by the last 5 minutes or so the dps is enormous and you can mow them down and then dash to the other side and clean it up in a final race against time (especially in packs, sometimes a stray one can linger and be annoying).

Both ghost walls down. Okay I'm done until Stage 5.

Sorceress, same mark, going full Electrify with Mask of Madness, Collar of Confidence, Thunder Ring, Pest Ring, Brokers Cape, Berserker Boots, Multistrike Gloves
Electrify Damage (335k, 115mil)

Exterminator, same mark, going full Burn with Ruby Circlet, Fire Ring, Pest Ring, Elemental Resonator (if this item is ever good, exterminator main attack would be the best shot at it, Berserker Boots, Blazing Shell, Sparking Tips)
Burn Damage (229k, 109mil)

Both felt good and shred bosses super fast. Sorceress killed most of but not quite one ghost wall. Exterminator had the dps to kill both ghost walls and got a lot of it but he was somehow displacing and pushing them farther apart and outwards (and even off lane and 2/3 the way to off the screen) faster and farther than I've ever seen ungrouping them and making many out of reach.

Next, pure Magic build.. tricky.. there is no magic "effect", barely any items, and you pick either Cleric (has magic damage% traits and a good main attack but no benefit from effect chance stacks) or a non-summon Warlock (gains a lot of Force which is useful). Either probably takes the Norseman mark (20% damage). I tried a Warlock forgoing all summons and enhancing pure magic abilities only and the highest was Arcane Splinters at (150k, 36mil) which has a nice AOE when fully upgraded. Next was like 75k. In the last 30 seconds I finally made a single hole in one ghost wall but barely killed any.

Physical.. Tried Shield Master crit build with Archer mark (crit chance). Echoing Band 90k, Needles 89k, Blades 86k, Transfixion(upgrades towards Fragile spread) 63k. Just not good enough. Not enough damage or AOE. Just one last minute hole in one ghost wall similar to Magic build.

Also tried Swordsman with Norseman mark (+20% dmg). Got a couple lucky item upgrades 30% crit chance ring and 150% damage collar of confidence. Took all "physical" traits and usually "damage", area, usual supporting offensive stuff. Phantom Needles (230k, 67mil), Echoing Band (101k, 39mil), Transfixion (82k, 22mil), Ring Blades (73k, 24mil), Zweihander (38k, 18mil), Spirit Warrior (12k, 4mil). This actually felt awesome and shredded through mobs/bosses. But it couldn't produce a single hole in a ghost wall at all.

Also tried Archer with Norseman mark (+20% dmg). Collar with Multistrike Gloves. Maxed out on crit chance, physical traits, all the good stuff, tons of level 40's, etc. Felt completely absurd, maybe even better than the Swordsman, but overall damage was similar. Phantom Needles (190k, 77mil), Bow (98k, 46mil), Echoing Band (98k, 37mil), Ring Blades (94k, 33mil), Transfixion (74k, 28mil). This was almost able to kill one ghost wall, the best I managed for that with any physical build.

None coming close to the (967k, 201mil) Frost Beast Huntress build (which oddly didn't kill bosses as fast but has bigger and quicker AOE eventually for bigger max dps). Even though other things feel good and fun like physical crit builds, archer, crit sorc, etc., and any of them can beat bosses and stages no problem, surprisingly it seems to me that going full effects and chance (frost, burn, electrify) is the most outright destructive overall if you want to go super overboard and do things like kill ghost walls. Especially Frost.

Electrify Exterminator can definitely full clear this. Base Multihit on the Flame Caster is disgusting.

Yeah, I started noticing that Frost is actually kinda nuts when I just so happened to try the ice ring on the cleric a couple days ago, and then started clapping whole groups of enemies after grabbing a single cleric's 15% effect chance booster.

I went full electrify effect, Sorceress mark, patient to get the right traits like electrify chance, lightning damage, multistrike, attack speed, some area/force/chance/misc/etc., doubled the right 40's, etc. Mask of Madness, Lightning Ring, Rat Ring, Berserker Boots, Brokers Cape, Collar of Confidence and Longfinger Gloves.

Electrify (231k, 97mil), Orbs as full electrify spreader speed/orbs (91k, 23mil), Kugelblitz (55k, 23mil), Golem electrify spreader (39k, 10mil), Flamecaster (37k, 17mil), Lightning Strike (13k, 6mil), Burn (11k, 6mil).

P.S. Sorceress attack is probably an even better electrify spreader because force increases the chain-spread amount by a ton and it also has a big extra built-in electrify chance on top. I had bigger numbers that route.

Build difference I suppose? I used crit chance ring instead of rat, elemental resonator, multistrike gloves. Reverberant on both base multistrike and electrify on crit, grab all electrify chance, crit chance, atttack speed, and multistrike traits. At that level of damage it melted even the last boss in seconds and was able to clear both walls without issue.

I tried with Sorc and couldn't quite clear the entire second wall in time. The DPS is there but the clear isn't as fast or reliable as Exterminator as far as I can tell. Exterminator is far better at stacking Electrify; even compared to multistrike/base attack Reverberant Sorc/Archer, Exterminator just hits so much faster and hits max stacks almost instantly. AoE on the Flame Caster is also just better in addition to being more comfortable in general.

Also tried Frost Exterminator (why not?) and yeah Frost damage gets silly but what an uncomfortable run, lol. Mechanically, Frost takes a while to get going, and once it does it's easy to end up playing at single-digit FPS (I don't think the increased AoE did any favors on that front). The numbers are great but I don't know if I can put myself through that again orz

Tried Exterminator, BH mark and I didn't quite match your numbers (or my earlier BH/BH run) but it was powerful and right up there yep. Mask of Madness (which I kept up the entire game), Elemental Resonator (which I still don't believe in but this should be the build for it if ever), Frost Ring, Rat Ring (not exciting but I don't think effects crit and nothing else is too great either), Berserker Boots, Brokers Cape (similar, just nothing else good and you can't use the stand still gear), and Multistrike Gloves. To my surprise I got both an upgraded Elemental Resonator and Multistrike Gloves early on both around level 30 or so. This build was set up to Frost harder than anything could Frost. Was also diligent about always waiting for Proficient Stance Frost Chance, Weapon Main Attack Speed (should be better than Ice Damage), and for Dedication I even took Force (more spread) instead of safety Movement/Regen. Had multiple level 40s at once and doubled Frost Chance and Frost Damage. Literally the only thing this build didn't have was the level 40 main weapon attack speed trait that I waited forever for and gave up on. Had one ghost wall killed by the last few minutes and hopped over to the second and it definitely had the DPS to kill it too but I just ran out of time (and sometimes you get like 1 or 2 stubborn single ghosts that just stay forever for no reason). Ended with Frost Damage at (850k, 203mil) and the rest not close next was (42k, 10mil).
After reinstalling the game on a SSD, I can finally use Hail Storm without a insane lag fest.

So i tried myself at the Ghost Wall.

Next BH/BH attempt, cracked 1 million DPS. Midgame was a struggle to even stay alive so I didn't get to the walls until quite a bit but as usual in the last 10 minutes it pops off. Culmination of all the frost chance, frost avalanche with patches (I don't remember if I had more waves but that's good too), hailstorm with spikes, ice converted summons including #1 priority inner orbit speed+orbs. Extra summons if you want. Smart traits that synergize with the above (speed, multi, force, area, damage, etc.)

Mask of Madness (upgraded)
Collar of Confidence (upgraded)
Ice Ring
Pest Ring (did swap to upgraded Crit Bonus ring early)
Longfinger Gloves (upgraded) - not sure about this vs attack speed or multi when using collar
Brokers Cape
Berserker Boots

Frost Damage - 1,037,124 DPS, 214,960,004 total. Both walls killed.

Made A run with Lightning Exterminator, Lightning/Burn, etc.

I hadn't realized just how early you can encounter the ghost wall. Just had an Electrify Exterminator run where I started it at about 12 minutes, first wall down before hydra, second down with ~4:30 left. Rushing the wall a bit harder probably could've brought that to over 5 mins remaining.
