could you give some more specifics on Character, Equipment, your Quest progression?
Stages are meant to increase in difficulty and require more and more "proper building".
The step from Ember Grounds to Forgotten viaduct is pretty steep.
Especially if you start out on this map.
Cheers!
must have been tired last night, I usually play exterminator though. With a bunch of fire related equipment for increased burn chance.
Not too sure on quests though, I'm on the kill 10k enemies in viaducts MQ atm. I have a +25% xp boost thanks to quests too.
I assume this game is just more dependant on builds? Most games make you invincible lol. Vampire survivors is easy once you have an idea on how to play tbh
What you describe, sounds like a good direction.
But +25% sounds very low in terms of quests done.
You are not forced to clear stages in order, only thing you have to do, clear quests to unlock the next ones. Always try to aim for things you can check off more easily.
Equipment and knowledge comes along, also an natural increase in power.
In terms of building, you can do all kinds of dumb and maybe survive, but with a good build you shredd the whole screen.
Forgotten Viaduct and the 4th Stage dont let you get away with murder that easily.
Using Potions properly let you do very insane stuff.
If you dont mind any bigger spoilers and since i dont know what you know, you could take a look here:

I tried to explain some very deep mechanics relating to potions, abilites and all kinds of stuff.
Maybe you find something intreesting there.
I think the low direct damage hurts vs higher HP enemies on that stage. Take your time clearing groups you can handle, and move on to abilities before too long. You're in for a surprise at I think the 20min mark?
I'll go back to quests and watch that video. Thanks :)
By now, the random Scroll Drops are more than enough for something good to happen.
I always felt the time wasting to collect those are missed opportunities to kill more and lvl up higher.
slash me pogs
Also small tip: Go for electric builds, they seems much stronger compared to burn as you can stack them higher.
