how do you progress in viaduct?
Idk what it is about this area but the enemies are so impossibly difficult to kill even with a build that can clear 17 minutes on the first area with agony. Am I just bad or is there some kinda trick? Upgrades maybe? idk I've never gotten past the 18th minute so far.

Hi,

could you give some more specifics on Character, Equipment, your Quest progression?

Stages are meant to increase in difficulty and require more and more "proper building".
The step from Ember Grounds to Forgotten viaduct is pretty steep.
Especially if you start out on this map.

Cheers!

Hi, apparently I'm capable of getting further in this level lol. I'm on the 12th minute now
must have been tired last night, I usually play exterminator though. With a bunch of fire related equipment for increased burn chance.
Not too sure on quests though, I'm on the kill 10k enemies in viaducts MQ atm. I have a +25% xp boost thanks to quests too.
I assume this game is just more dependant on builds? Most games make you invincible lol. Vampire survivors is easy once you have an idea on how to play tbh

This game has way more depth than other titles.

What you describe, sounds like a good direction.
But +25% sounds very low in terms of quests done.
You are not forced to clear stages in order, only thing you have to do, clear quests to unlock the next ones. Always try to aim for things you can check off more easily.
Equipment and knowledge comes along, also an natural increase in power.

In terms of building, you can do all kinds of dumb and maybe survive, but with a good build you shredd the whole screen.
Forgotten Viaduct and the 4th Stage dont let you get away with murder that easily.
Using Potions properly let you do very insane stuff.

If you dont mind any bigger spoilers and since i dont know what you know, you could take a look here:

I tried to explain some very deep mechanics relating to potions, abilites and all kinds of stuff.
Maybe you find something intreesting there.

It's a bit more dependent on setup before the round starts than VS.

I think the low direct damage hurts vs higher HP enemies on that stage. Take your time clearing groups you can handle, and move on to abilities before too long. You're in for a surprise at I think the 20min mark?

Viaduct was kind of hard imo I think cuz alot of mobs are armored but also was hitting a brick wall with norseman. steamrolled it with beast keeper so might just be my perspective. Is cavern the only level with the "quest" for the boss? Viaduct seems pretty straightforward.

I don't have much in the way of potions but I was able to beat the viaducts. Ironically I ask for help and then beat it anyway lmao????
I'll go back to quests and watch that video. Thanks :)

Yep lmao. I almost never get to both sides for the two ability powerups unless I'm steamrolling, which only happens with godlike RNG usually

I used to pick em up before Agony existed.
By now, the random Scroll Drops are more than enough for something good to happen.

I always felt the time wasting to collect those are missed opportunities to kill more and lvl up higher.

I usually try to get them both but then I also usually die when I do that so I stopped lol. Figure the xp is better than a potential ability that doesn't fit my build.

If you're still struggling, you could try an archer speed/crit/multi build and select flame strike or radiant aura (or especially both if you're able) abilities. I skipped all health / regen options when leveling as well, and just focused on anything that increase speed, attack speed, or damage (crit, crit bonus, dmg)

I'll keep this in mind, thanks. I got through that level thankfully now and have the 4th map

The ghost wall can be broken up with anything that afflicts them with slowness and they are handy to hit the 3,000,000 damage mark with a number of abilities that will complete quests for you. You'll go back there eventually, glad you beat it though!

I've had the same experiences trying to get all the achievements, I would lose so many times. I just keep trying different builds until I find something that works. Now I already have all the achievements so far, so I just mess around with whatever.

Sounds like you dont have much upgrades or unlocked gear yet for that level.
Also small tip: Go for electric builds, they seems much stronger compared to burn as you can stack them higher.
