How do ability evolutions work with scrolls?

Like do you need to upgrade the ability a certain number of times? Or only pick certain upgrades to get certain evolutions to show up on the scroll or is it time based on what?

Still trying to work this out too. I pickup a single ability from the start and usually run through the 30's as a test. Sometimes I can get a second of the same ability, sometimes I cannot. Will try to narrow it down, but need more test runs.

I think you need to get ability to lvl3 first, then pick scroll to have a chance for upgrade variant to appear.

Same cos sometimes I've ended up with like 4 abilities and no evolutions and it's like eaurgh

yeah evolutions are not guaranteed, its pita sometimes, because often you dont want more abilities, just strong few ones.

The recent update on June 1 should have it set as a guarantee availability. You will need to level up the ability trait to three and then grab a scroll, though it will still be random which of the two upgrade variants it will be for that ability, occasionally both will show up at the same time. Then at level six trait there should be the other as one of the three ability upgrade options when picking up another scroll.

You need at least 3 levels in an ability for it to show up (which is now guaranteed to have one show up in a scroll if you meet the requirements), and you need to have 6 or more to have another upgrade show up.

It also seems like all of the options shown can be upgrades if you have enough that can be upgraded, but at least one is guaranteed now if you can get one.

I think leveling an ability through multiple scrolls unlock more upgrades for that ability so that you don't have less upgrade opportunity than if you had a different ability.
