Does anyone have any tips for playing this class?

I keep trying different load outs and builds. Always the same result, which is such a lack of dps that I will have 3 bosses up at once sometimes. Then eventually die.

Only thing I've learned/noticed is the Cleric's main weapon dmg seems to be divided among the enemies hit, so hitting a single target does the most dmg.

Thanks!

huh? contrary to that i feel like cleric is hitting bosses the hardest (by far). was the first class for me to clear stage 3 with (first attempt basically)
some tips:
- main attack cannot crit, so rather dodge all crit talents
- radiant aura goes nicly with it, as it starts with 0 crit bonus
- unlike other chars you dont often try to hit as much stuff as possible, too big of a cone+range on your main attack and aiming where the enemies are plenty can result in not killing anything

if anything priest tends to become a boss killing wonder that has to look out for stuff that kills the trash (or is overwhelmed by that). like i said if you dodge anything crit related and go for +regen as you defense stat you will have very little issues with bosses

He hits the lord the hardest because the lord is always alone, elites tend to be mixed in with other mobs. I think that he talking about.

which is why focus on cone+range can be an issue (not bad talents, but shouldnt be prio). with a reasonable attack area size and going for multihit instead there isnt too much of a damage split. elites melt within seconds of radiantaura+single target main attacks and there are always brief moments for that.

IMO the base blessings you want to get for the cleric before any run are movement spd, attack speed, regeneration & block (since it's calculated before defense). everything else after that just helps make your cleric runs easier... Again, this is all in my honest opinion.

Gear wise I always run my cleric with Jade Amulet, Wind Crown, Quickhand Gloves, Plate Armor, Runner Shoes & Iron Ring / Guiding Star Ring (roughly +10% move & atk spd for some characters)

Get to your 1st scroll so you can get your first 2ndary atk ASAP.
Lightning strike will help thin/cull the mobs as they get bigger so go for # increase& atk spd.
Holy Aura go for dmg, atk spd & if able any debuffs it may offer
Needles, situational but if they mobs are getting too close for comfort ya & feel ya need more damage then why not
I try to get his Regen up to 2hp a sec & his main attack damage up as much as possible and covering roughly a 45-60 degree area
By default the cleric attacks 2x per atk but if you get his atk spd up enough he'll be doing 3x & it'll almost seem as if he's constantly non-stop attacking
With this set up unless i get careless/lazy I've no problems with any of the 3 stages.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I focused aspd>multihit>dmg>regen, took anything that reduced my range and improved dmg. Ended up ripping pretty hard. Couldn't beat the final boss after the timer runs out but every boss before that melted.

Hello.
I just started playing this game recently, idk when they added it but cleric base crit chance is 0 but there is trait "cunning technique I".
It gives you +0.05 Base Crit Chance so its 5% to crit making criteric possible. :)

Possible yes, but effective? He also has no crit damage multiplier by default if they did not change that in the meantime

45% base crit bonus
+Piercing Wind 0.10
So without further modifying anything a crit would deal 3100 dmg, which gets way more insane with damage bonus, crit damage bonus (although this impact is realtive small.
with Ruthlessness its 96% crit damage, which almost doubles the base value of 2k.

So by now, investing in crit isnt out of the window anymore.

Hi Big Mad Wolf,

when using Mark of the Arrow and (optional) at least one of the crit rings, cleric does crit: A lot.
And there's high numbers, very high numbers. :)

Is it effective? Hell yes. Especially on stages with mobs that have tons of health. They get pulverized in no time. Bosses? Cleric can get those down in less than a couple of seconds.

I am aware, but the last time I played his crit damage bonus was 0%
