as a short example to give clarification:
Archer has 2.00 base projectiles -> with 20% multistrike -> 2.40
now around on every 3d attack there is a 3d projectile
2.40 = 2 rest 0.40 + 2.40 = 2 rest 0.80 +2.40 = 3 rest 0.20 + 2.40 = 2 rest 0.60 + 2.40 = 3 rest 0.0
2.2.3.2.3 cycle starts anew
So multistrike increases your amount of strikes/projectiles.
In case of Astronomer's Orbs you need a full extra "strike" since they are permanent.
