[Suggestion] Returning back with bag's items if successfully finished the DG.
If I killed the final boss of the dungeon and I have items in the bag, imho I should be able to return with these items to surface and see them in the item stash.

you should at least get to keep one additional item, having to do over 60 (some partial) runs to get everything was ridiculous.

There are over 60 items? I am at 48 and I am getting no more droops , or you mean together with potions?
Llyes Jul 23, 2023 @ 11:38pm
I mean, you do need to collect the potions one by one too

I think they just need to let you put as many items into the well as you want. You still have to buy them, why is this limitation there?

they wont do it because it greatly reduces the amount of time spent on the game. if you leave with the 4 items in bag, that's 3 less play sessions. nothing wrong with the idea but i doubt they'll change the game so people play it less

That's not altogether true, most of the time completing the game is spent on completing challenges and gathering gold. Collecting items one at a time can be done rather quickly as the guardian of one of the scrolls always drops one of the potion flasks, and the very first boss always drops items. The last few items might take a few full attempts to claim as the pool of possible drops gets annoyingly large, but that still (likely) accounts for a small percentage of game-time. It's just pointlessly tedious.

A nothingburger either way. It can be put on the 'to do' list but it should be on a very low priority. Maybe after full release?

Nope. The item is too much of a pain to carry back to camp. Gotta use the well.

So you have to do more runs, obviously.

In fact, it makes perfect sense when you know the truth.
Even if you finish the run, you never come back, you die alone, abandoned in an empty maze.
You're just replaced by another member of your class.

And since it takes Grandpa more than 30 minutes to pull up the bucket & an object at the time is clearly the limit for his frail arms. He can't take more

This also explains why he doesn't give you the equipment for free - apart from the effort involved in lifting it, it's not your loot, the owner is dying in the maze right now.

Edit : Ho and if you wonder how you don't lose you'r actual stuff if you die at every run, well, it's magic.

Or it's the far more standard: all of the characters are already dead, and going through the door just takes you to different planes of limbo. Why your soul gets instantly credited with any gold you touch and you can somehow give it to others or sacrifice it to some weird monument is less easily explained, and would be much easier to rationalize if it were a different resource altogether. Nor does it make any sense that you can take back the herbs for the potions no problem, when the potion bottles they get stuffed in are such a problem.

Anyway, all of this rationalizing of the story is pointless, and doesn't in any way contradict the fact that taking the items "home" one at a time is pointlessly tedious.

But you often don't get enough gold from a run to buy a single item, so it doesn't make you do more runs. Gold is the limiting factor.

It is a weird way to do it. I'm not defending it fully. But in the end, completing all the quests is the goal, and you'll be doing enough runs for that to get all the items anyway. Also with the gold it costs, you end up having way more items retrieved than you can afford to buy. Like all I have left is the lvl 100 quests, and I think a few kill 50k x mobs, and the heal one. I don't even have all the blessings, and I have like 10 items built up to buy. So if your goal is to fully complete the game, the item retrieval isn't going to take you any longer really. Maybe with the all the potion stacks, which you can get them very early in a run, go to well, then end your run. Doesn't take that long. But a system where you need to do that isn't necessarily good either. So I'm not defending the concept, I'm just saying in the end, its not that big of a hindrance.

Just finished a run with 4 items, one bottle and 2 pieces of armor i did not have yet. I was super disappointment once i realised i lost these items. Instantly reduces my motivation to play the game

Fair request, but lets make it more fair: for each item in your inventory slot boss becomes 100% stronger and 50% faster. Want to pull out 4 items at once? Feel free to fight a boss that is 400% stronger and 200% faster. sounds fair to me.

And yes, if u die, u lose not just 4 items that u are carrying but also 1 item that u have equiped that u already have in your stash.
