Kubuntu 12.10 - X errors *FIXED*

Hey guys\gals,

Just got into the Linux beta today! But first Linux bought game here is not able to run. Booooo!


FYI, if you are having any issues, try running the steam program from a terminal to try and get direct error messages..

In term, just run "steam"

user@HOSTNAME:~$ steam

Now with a fresh new Kubuntu 12.10 install, my first error was "gksudo command not found". Simple enough, # apt-get install gksu.

restart game, and NOW it will prompt you for your sudo password (using gksudo) to install missing dependencies. In my case it was "ia32-libs".

Now after installing all dependencies and restarting the computer, I'm getting X errors...

Properties > Uncheck "Enable Steam Community In-Game"

Going to start a new game after work and see if anything else pops up.
