What I appreciate most of this game is that is offers a very unique experience among all the mainstream / indie stuff currently available. It's a very interesting and well done game. I love the atmosphere, the stories, how it's done. If you're looking for complicated puzzles or big challenges, just pick any other game - most will be harder to solve. Or do IQ tests, this will have a lot of challenging puzzles.
Hopefully people would produce more special games like this. I don't care if they are easy, or difficult, as long as they are special. Not one more product of "game designers" and marketing people trying to meet high game quality standards. I'm very happy about what I got for the $15.
Most of your criticism also doesn't make sense - the special abilities of the chars are used in their levels. This could maybe have been done "better" (more challenging or tricky), but the fact alone, that they implement the concept of these reserved areas was too cool for me to think about flaws. I also could get all the glyphs without problems, played 3 times - all 7 characters. (But don't know all the characters combinations, of course. If it's really the case it might be a bug). That with why they did not 2 characters more is just nonsense, if they were really "lazy", thay had done 6 characters instead of 7 - problem solved. I didn't have any problem repeating the special areas of 2 chars. I picked the 2 ones I liked most.
with achivements, perfomance
and I recommend to play it, but not for 15$ and only one time
I did think the game was a little short, but the story and the atmosphere made me love this game.
Also I had no problems with the "imobile puzzle" of the monk, first attempt was good.
This game is not focusing the challenge, is telling you a story, teaching you something and I find that game simply deep and entertaining. 9/10
damn didn't notice that at all. now that makes sense XD
love the game - thanks ron well worth every cent.
i mean what do you expect or 15 bucks thats less than some greedy companies want for ONE DLC ALONE...
And to complete the game with all characters on the good and bad ending you will put more than 10h in it...
so yeah bashing this 15 bucks game (or should i say gem), only makes you look like a complete fool.
just my 2 cents
That said you guys must be lucky to not see a single bug. I kept having characters getting stuck on objects and terrain or their specials stop working forcing a restart of the game to fix.
I play with XBOX360 gamepad

I agree the Flower Lotus puzzle is just bad game design(fyi you can hold shift to make your character walk instead of run which makes this puzzle a breeze, so naturally the game never even hints that you can do this...) but other then that, you're overreacting. This game doesn't have that many challenging puzzles, yeah so what? It has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent and funny story telling and some pretty darn clever puzzles.
I didn't buy this game expecting a Rayman Legends + Monkey Island hybrid. I expected an Indie puzzle platformer with a great story. I wasn't disappointed. Even if it's shorter then I thought it would be and I skipped an entire section with sequence breaking on my first go, but other then that, great game. You just sound like you expected too much.
I expected what the developpers told us, what they represent. Something between a platformer and a puzzle game remenescent of Maniac Mansion. I personnally didn't like the story, I found each character had somewhat of a hint of charm, but it just wasn't enough. The lotus "challenge" was infuriating because it changed the mechanics without telling and then returned them once you were used to them. Im not saying I completly hated the game, Im just saying that 15$ was too much.
