60fps cap?
My refresh rate is set to 144hz but the game does not go above 60fps. Is there a 60fps cap or is there some text file I have to edit?

Probably a Dev choice for performance. There's no reason on God's green Earth that anyone needs a 60+ fps on a platformer - totally pointless.

I thought like you before, but now I'm cursed after being spoiled by this 165hz gsyc monitor. Now 60hz feels almost smooth enough. :)

The game runs at 30 fps why won't people see this without the use of an fps counter? You can play at 10.000Hz in this game, the game will always render 30 fps animations and output 10.000 frames, will never be smooth.

That's the stupidest excuse ever. All other platformers run at 60fps, even those on NES. They capped it at 30fps only because of consoles.

I agree. Making your game fps capped on PC is just laziness

I know it's an old post, but you are totally wrong.

they ran at 50Hz or 60hz screens but the framerate rarely went beyond 30fps. This is include the stronger SNES, Genesis and NEOGEO.

Refresh Rate and Frame Rate are two different things.
