I'd say Art of Rally is to rally racing what this game is to F1. A sort of retro-style looking semi-arcade title that still captures the essence and feel of the sport.

Formula Retro Racing / Formula Retro Racing World Tour & Super Retro GP which isn't out yet but has just released a demo. I think New Star GP is the better game out of that list but the others have their moments.

Another similar game has been released on Early Access called " Super Polygon GP "
I've just bought it and gave it a quick go. Nowhere near as polished as NSGP but lots of promise.

How it's easier? Cars there handles harder in not realistic way.
