Much easier for me to have pad on a table and use face buttons.
We should at least have the option. Never understood why some devs seem to take it as an insult to their precious 'vision'.
If you switch to steam input you can remap the buttons. On my steam deck I just did this and now I've got throttle and brake mapped as X and A.
As a fellow disabled person, I am baffled by the lack of ability to rebind the buttons given the post above from the developer is from June and nothing has been done about it.
For me i prefer shifting manual gears with square and x, and then boost circle (playstation buttons for example). This is default manual transmission up and down shifts for popular titles like forza etc.
I enjoy the new manual update but dont like claw gripping all the shoulder and bumper buttons. With face button doing shifting you can keep your triggers and bumpers more focused on just accelerating and braking
I can change it in steam controller remapping..... But then it's unpleasant navigating the menus
This game is damn near perfect and this is a real opportunity for improvement
