Suggestion: Control Mapping
I'd appreciate being able to reconfigure the Controls outside of Sensitivity. I prefer Accelerating & Braking with the A & B buttons respectively instead of the Triggers, since I play on the Steam Deck OLED.

Part of me doesn't quite understand why developers neglect putting in Controller Mapping options. Many, many titles allow you to change & customize the Controls to your liking, but some still don't.

I feel like something like this could be easily added in with an Update. If you're part of the development team, thanks for reading this.

This is on our list of things to investigate. It's something we really want to add to the game at some point.

+1 as well!

I would like the option to try accelerate and brake on the right thumbstick. See how it compares to the triggers. It works well on some racing games.

i'm physically disabled.

Much easier for me to have pad on a table and use face buttons.

We should at least have the option. Never understood why some devs seem to take it as an insult to their precious 'vision'.

If you switch to steam input you can remap the buttons. On my steam deck I just did this and now I've got throttle and brake mapped as X and A.

As a fellow disabled person, I am baffled by the lack of ability to rebind the buttons given the post above from the developer is from June and nothing has been done about it.

+1 for controller remapping.
For me i prefer shifting manual gears with square and x, and then boost circle (playstation buttons for example). This is default manual transmission up and down shifts for popular titles like forza etc.
I enjoy the new manual update but dont like claw gripping all the shoulder and bumper buttons. With face button doing shifting you can keep your triggers and bumpers more focused on just accelerating and braking
Crazy that this still hasn't been implemented. Having to use the shoulders to shift gears is really not working for me. I usually use X for downshift and Y for upshift.

Any news on this? I want a setting with X and A being for upshift and down shift (Gran Turismo standards) with boost being the shoulder buttons. It's unplayable on manual gears with the shoulders being the shift buttons... And automatic just isn't as fun.

I can change it in steam controller remapping..... But then it's unpleasant navigating the menus

This game is damn near perfect and this is a real opportunity for improvement
