How do I restore my profile game data and songs progress ???
Last week after several connection issues with Steam and UPlay I decided to hit escape button and play offline.
First thing I know it's like I'm a new player, screen display asking if I ever played Rocksmith Remastered before Yes or No juste like if I was installing the game. Sensing something was wrong I exited the game and restarted.
Upon loading I could still see my two different player profiles ( one for bass and one for guitar) but as I get to learn a song, all songs progress where back to 0% same for Guitarcade games and Score attack.
Close to 800 hours of play down the drain, nothing to say that I was pissed off BIG TIME.

Tried without any luck to use Restore Game Backup in my Steam account. In the window box openning they ask to select a folder to search for my game backup. The problem is that I had no ideas where was the directory containing this folder. After seaching in Steam cloud I been able to retrieve a few files and placed those in a folder on my desk top. But now I cant select this folder from the Game Backup window .

After contacting Steam game support for Rocksmith Remastered they sent me to Ubisoft because they don't support this game even though they sold.

After a full week of wait there is no sign of life or anything else from Ubisoft customer service except for a case # number that was sent by email.

Any clues or options for me to look for, because I am really desperate. ???

In this case steam should have responded with help, since the profiles are stored on your PC in the steam folder and in the steam cloud.
But I guess they don't know much about that either. And yes ubi support is usually quite slow.

I'm not exactly sure where the profiles are saved. Like there are two possible places on pc. I like to make a backup off those a few times, if things like that happen I can restore it.
I'll mention them beneath, but first you might try to disable steam cloud backup.
In steam go to the game list, right click on the name and choose properties. In the tab general you'll see the option cloud save. That one is usually loaded first. By disabling, it starts looking on your disk when the game boots up. If that's still a valid version (as in not also over written) it will show the right info.
After that you can enable the cloud saving and it will over write that one with your disk version.

This way is also used to put a backup back on your disk without the need for reinstalling.
The default files being on your disk \steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith 2014

There is another one, which also contains the screenshots. But that works with numbers for your account id and the game number id.
Your disk name \steam\userdata\ your steam id\221680\Rocksmith 2014 Remastered

Hope that helps
