If you were using CDLC before make sure you have the updated version.

This will also mostly fix a problem when you have a newer high threading cpu.
There's a bunch of other stuff that can interfere, like Razer sonar, Elgato, Nvidia sounds software. Using a VR, or even an Asus mouse can be problematic.
So without having more knowledge about your system setup (hardware/software) it's just guessing, but I hope the above fix could already.
Oh and I forget to mention windows updates can be just as bad. Direct x 9 issues are common as Windows will remove or not install dx9 properly by default, since it thinks their more recent version is fully backwards compatible. It isn't. And it's needed by Rocksmith.
