I am sorry that you're having this issue with the Avenged Sevenfold DLC.
Could you please check if the DLC is selected in the DLC list that you can find by locating the game in your Steam Library, right click --> Properties --> DLC
If you are able to see the DLC in the list, please uncheck it and then check it again.
This should let you download the DLC again.
Also, could you please confirm which version of the game are you currently using?
Thank you very much.

You guys are actually monitoring these boards? Everyone who doesn't own Rocksmith 1, owns only Rocksmith 2014, but has Rocksmith 1 DLC, is no longer able to access that DLC. Previously the R1 DLC I purchased would download and install with R2014, until just recently.
You guys need to collaborate with Steam to fix this, and/or update R2014 to natively support R1 DLC. I'm sure it has something to do with R1 DLC getting de-listed, and Steam siloing DLC between games.
I say you need to, but I guess that's only if you want satisfied customers who don't hate your company.
