Original Rocksmith dlc songs not showing up through RS 2014 anymore
Hello there,

I recently had to reinstall steam, which, I totally forgot, in the process, deletes all games installed on the default steam location. Upon reinstalling RS 2014 back, I noticed few of my songs aren't there anymore and it's the original rocksmith songs I had bought and worked seemlessly on RS 2014 (Judas Priest 3-songpack), 'til I suppose its delisting from steam.

No matter what I try, I'm unable to get them to be downloaded for RS 2014. I think, previously it was showing up inside the dlc list for RS 2014, but it's not anymore and they are not showing up in game as well.
I understand the license probably ran out since it's delisted, but I freaking bought some songs, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to download them.

Anyone knows a solution maybe ?

GOOD NEWS !!!!

Just got word of one of the people at Ubisoft to check on the songs again.
For me it seems fixed, and songs are back !!!!!!

Can you all check yours and let it know cause I don't have them all, and maybe some slipped through the cracks..

To elaborate on this, please make sure you're up to date with the latest official version of the Steam client and check your library. The issue should now be fixed and RS1 DLC should be properly appearing in RS2014 even if you don't own the original Rocksmith.

If you are still missing songs please let us know but be sure to double check that songs aren't being hidden by active song filters and that you've checked that your Steam client is up to date.

The songs you bought should normally still be available, however steam or somebody is messing with the dlc. I saw a few of already delisted 2012 version popping up again

Sadly, the song pack shows up only under my account details, in the licences.

But it's not showing in the dlc list in my library, and not in game. Song packs from RS 2014 still are there without issues, it's just this one pack from the original Rocksmith.

I found out I have also the 3 songpack from Pantera, which is from RS1, that is not showing up anymore in RS 2014. So I suppose, it's concerning all the RS1 songs.

Kind of infuriating.

Same, Breaking the Law is missing from my account.
I tried to look for some help and advice around, to no avail. It was all working fine, at least, prior to Rocksmith 2014 delisting, maybe RS1 delisting. I can't be sure since when, because the game was installed for years without anything changing. The RS1 file is there, it gets downloaded back if I remove it, but the songs I paid for ain't showing up, anymore.

Opened a ticket to Ubisoft, we'll see how it goes...

Having the same issue. Purchased multiple official DLC for RS2014 over the years, and those that have been 'delisted' have disappeared from my in-game library, in spite of the money paid for them. See: Santana song pack, Avenged Sevefold DLC, and more. Any resolution?
Gurdil Cul-Brillant Apr 28, 2024 @ 12:28am
Ubisoft finally replied to my ticket yesterday. They confirm me that any DLC bought should be accessible and downloadable, delisted or not. And they are telling me to ask for support to the platform of purchase, Steam in my case.

Though, my issue is specifically Rocksmith 1's DLCs not showing up anymore through RS 2014. I'm not sure they understood it well so I gonna have to wait some more weeks for their response, I guess.

EDIT : Or not, they already replied in a matter of minutes, and during sunday, pigs might fly.
They still telling me to contact the purchase platform.

I'm glad you could sort it out and hope this will help fellow musicians.

In my case, however, the issue is that I don't own RS1. So those DLC appears nowhere else than in my steam's purchase history and in Rocksmith 2014, in game, or well they were appearing since they don't anymore.

And the fact I don't own RS1 appears to be the real issue why they aren't downloaded back in the rs1compatibilitydlc file, since the game and dlcs delisting.

For those in my case, not owning RS1, my Steam support's ticket is still ongoing so I still don't know what to do to get those songs back.

UPDATE for underneath text; tried this myself now I'm missing songs, this didn't bring them back.

Wait....there might be a way. To be clear, there's 2 different types of DLC from the 2012 and 2014 version. The ones that were from the in game version (like as on disk version) and the ones that got published later on, and to be bought as separate DLC. As is the case with the Judas Priest Song pack.
It was not in the on disk songs so it is not necessary to own that version.

The only way to get the official songs from in game 2012 version into 2014 was to use the transfer program which had to be bought separately. That would create one big file that contains all the songs that were transferable (minus a few that had a different licensing), but they are then NOT as separate dlc files.

Somewhere from the 2014 version onwards (remastered?), they made those earlier separate 2012 DLC also to be working on the 2014 version. I have mine bought begin 2022, when the delisting had already started. I have the conformation in my email, they are working in my game, but to try to find them on steam, or in the dlc list on steam, they are not to be found.....one might say there's something wrong in the combo Ubisoft and Steam handling (and thus either support might be not able to properly help)

But as the solution you might try Steamdb website. Its not affiliated from Steam, but afaik its safe to use and works real great to find all info on games and dlc. If you connect your steam account into steamdb it shows your content, and this way also the various DLC.
You can look up the songpack by typing/search the name, and here is the link to see without https://steamdb.info/sub/17393/

If connected with your account, you will see then an owned button in the top right corner, if you hover on it it will show even an install option. You might try clicking it so it might install it onto steam again.
See if that works for you??

If that doesnt directly work, there are certain commands to use within a program called ASF, which im not totally familiar with, but i can ask someone about it.

Just want to add my voice to others. I lost 16 songs a few days ago--all RS2014 purchased between 2017 and 2021. Someone said there was an update during this period?

Thanks Ubisoft. Please also see this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/221680/discussions/0/4361250551850102985/

When did it start? I noticed it around May 8th and I hadn't played for about a week before, so it occurred somewhere in the first week of May. I tried restoring my DLC file from an April 27th backup and the songs came back in the game at first, but disappeared again after closing the game.

Import tool? No. I bought RS2014 in 2017. I have 16 missing songs purchased between 2017 and 2021.

Game version? Not sure. Where do I find this? *Edit: Build ID 10150735

Other info? I'm on a Mac (Ventura). Despite all my missing songs having been purchased at various times over a 4 year period, my backups indicate I didn't have individual DLCs for these songs. Based on some info in these forums I believe all the missing songs are somehow consolidated in rs1compatibilitydlc_m.psarc

For many people it started sooner, but for me and others, on the 9th of may I still had songs, and then the next day a steam update (not sure if that matters), but then the songs were gone, so the 10th of may.

The version is I think what's mentioned in the properties updates tab?
"Build id: 10150735
Installed content updated: Nov 20, 2023 at 00:55" (local Dutch time)

I do not have rs1, nor the import tool. Only 2014.

But I bought the RS1 songs in the years of using 2014, and I bought most when the delisting of RS1 started, just so you know.
Also on my systems I have different drives and split steam installs, but Rocksmith is installed on C: on both setups.

I noticed the problem first on my Windows 11 laptop, not sure if its related, but it's got somehow by other updates a different sounds, everything going really slow and muffled, but changing back to 16 bit 48000 Hz and restarting a new helped solve that, and then noticed they were gone. It did have the mentioning on screen of Rocksmith plus coming to steam.

On my Windows 10 pc I use the RT cable but also a interface, and have RS Mods, RS Asio and Voicemeeter installed, to switch between the two.
Not that it matters, the same songs are gone.

The version build number from properties is the same, but the text of installed content update is sep 29, 2023 at 01:56 (local Dutch time)

Quite the difference.
I also get a message unable to sync with steam Cloud.

I do recommend to check the thread mentioned which mentions songs too.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/221680/discussions/0/4361250551850102985/

Also because I did share some information there after checking with other Rocksmith users that also worked on RSmods and from the unofficial Rocksmith discord.
