Rocksmith doesn't see my microphone
Hello,
I was about to play the game with an acoustic guitar, but I've got a problem, Rocksmith doesn't see my USB microphone set to 24Bits 48000 Hz. I'm using Windows 10 and Steam version of the game.
Error: To play in Microphone Mode, you must connect a valid Microphone. Please connect the appropriate device or select a different input mode.

The things I tried to do:
1. Restart pc;
2. Run the game with administrator permissions;
3. Run it directly from the .exe file in the installation folder;
4. Reinstall it completely;
5. Plug USB cable into another port;
6. Set the volume of my microphone to 100%;
7. Set it to 24Bits 48000 Hz (the only option I have is 24Bits, there is no 16Bits on the list);
8. Permit to access my microphone by applications.

I would be grateful for any kind of help.

Try this no-cable thing https://github.com/mdias/rs_asio. Hope your mic has ASIO drivers. You will have to select Realtone cable input and optionally mute your in-game guitar if you don't like to hear feedback along with the guitar. That's not the only option to deal with 24bit audio interfaces, but other options like VoiceMeeter Banana introduce a lot of latency and not easy to setup.

I don't know if I understood the instructions good enough. I coppied all the files into game folder and tried to go for the Realtone input in the game's menu, but there was an error:
"It sounds like your cable is unplugged. Connect a Rocksmith Real Tone Cable"
Would you like to explain the process of using it?
Thank you

I don't think I can explain it any better than that. Make sure you read that page until the end, both sections How to use and Basic configuration guide.

Hello there Darky! Could you let us know if alexcustos's workaround helped to solve your issue?

I used Voicemeeter to emulate 16-bit option and now the game sees the mic, but I have huge problems with tuning the guitar in-game.

I'm glad to hear you've managed to find a workaround so your mic is recognised. If you're interested, this support article[forums.ubisoft.com] provides a lot of information about audio configuration, so if you're still encountering audio problems I'd recommend checking it out!

Could you let me know what problems you're having with tuning the guitar in-game?

Would you be able to send me a video of this so we can take a closer look?
