Colored Strings
Just put a set of DR Neon strings on my guitar to play Rocksmith. I wasn't sure how they would look or if they would help but I am really liking them.

It really helps when going after the (D)=blue and (G)=orange strings. Give them a try if you get a chance.

They actually look awesome when blacklit! =)

I guess they are fine for Rocksmith. For playing through an actual amp though, I much prefer plain strings. Sounds so much better!

They sounded just fine through an amp.

Awesome, sometimes I misspick some strings, this would help me for sure. Unfortunately, they won't ship it to Brazil.

I had the RockPack Strings by Aurora on one of my guitars for a while.
They were nice, but the colour started to wear off pretty quickly at the picking end.
Also the purple string with so dark it was almost invisible.

These UV reactive ones look much better!

For a while I considered getting a set of coloured strings, but two things stopped me.

One, the last guitar I bought came with those DR strings on it already in a lovely bright-as-hell pink. While they were pretty for a while, the colour didn't last long at all. After a week, I had pink string-dandruff all over the place.

Two, I don't want to get in the habit of staring down at my guitar and that would certainly make it more tempting. :/

They feel great. I've been playing them for almost a week and nothing has worn off. Their "K3" coating is supposed to be super durable.

I'm no string expert but these seem cool. Especially for Rocksmith.

They have other colors that would look cool on stage.

They look cool and go well with RS 2014 but do I want my Les Paul looking like a kids guitar with rainbows? Hmmm.

I think they would encourage you to look at the strings much more which is also a bad thing!

heh I doubt they will be a permanent string choice. They are fun for a change. My wife says they look like beginner strings. :) I might get a set of white or yellow next.

The color is starting to flake off by the pickups...

The beginner is strong with this one. You still have a hard road ahead of you, novice.

Yeah I'm going to stick with regular strings from now on.
