No. The 'cable' is a plug-and-play device as well just wires, so there's no practical way of adapting or constructing your own. By far your best bet is to buy a box copy via an online seller with the cable included as that brings the total cost right down. As you don't have the game yet I can't see any benefit in buying RS1 for the cable and then RS2 without it; unless you want the RS1 songs, anyway.

Just seeking an update. In there a no cable fix for this game yet? I use use a no cable patch on the first Rocksmith and it works great with my first act 1/4 to usb cable. Even works on the demo.

Actually, I'm really wondering if anyone here uses it for a USB device. I read in the comments for that fix that it's noisy and only works for the mic input.

I was using with the mic (linein for me) input before I got my cable. About the usb you will need to follow the post, I dont really know. If it is detected as a mic like the real tone cable, it may work well. Also you need to adjust your rocksmith settings even for mic input.

Type "USB to Guitar jack cable", look at each link carefully, make sure it's not minijack, buy it. Come on it's not that hard to find one of these
