Game audio too low? Bug or just the game?
Okay, something I've noticed is that Rocksmith seems very quiet compared to other programs. For example if I'm in windows media player the songs will be loud and then if I go into Rocksmith I need to turn up my speakers about 50% to match.

Does anyone else notice this or is it a fixable problem.

I would like to know because I was noticing a lot of static from my guitar. I figured out it was partly that I was sitting too close, but also that I needed to crank my audio. (Just playing my guitar normally through the computer or through other programs this problem wasn't noticeable because volume level wasn't high enough to hear the static.)

Nope no luck.

How is the games volume compared to other applications for you guys though? Like for me, it's volume is about half compared to other games and things. I know this isn't the games fault that I'm having static, but it certain is way worse because I need to blast my volume.
I do have to turn it up a little to equal it. the same as RS2011... ITs not %50 tho maybe 20 at most
do you use HDMI?

EDIT: Opps, sorry no HDMI. Forgot I changed to DVI awhile back. (My bad.)

Yes, I do, but I found out a few more things.

Okay. Found out how to get Rocksmith volume to work properly. (More in line with other apps.) I turned off audio exclusive setting and my volume was WAY louder in game after a reboot.

Heres the problem though. For some reason Rocksmith is turning my cable volume down to 17 everytime I start the game. (So it wasn't at 100 after all.) The problem is I haven't found a way to fix it... Yet. But at least I was able to get volume louder which is a win. (Though didn't fix my issue.)

I can also confirm if I have to volume set at 17 the problem is fairly noticeable in other programs like Amplitube. (Not as bad as rocksmith though.) I'm sure sure why it's reverting, but I think if I can get the game to have the volume at 100 instead of 17 it would fix the problem.

Opps, sorry no HDMI. DVI. Changed from HDMI to DVI a few months ago.

Issues close to being solved completly. Once I start of the game if I tab out, set audio at 100 it fixes it temporarly. (After a recalibration in game.)

Now if only I can find a way to not have to do this everytime. But still I'm playing static free for the first time and man is it fun... I know I should be learning new songs, but session mode is too amazing. Who needs real life friends when I have session mode. ;)
