cannot select in the menus

Hello,
All I find is problems (USB headphone, not load if I have surround...) but now I have something I could not fix..
I try to select in the menus.. or with arrow keys (which don't move anything in menus) or with mouse.. Try to select other option than the upper one but is imposible.. it returns to the upper one.
Please help!

I know what is happening... it choose any joystick you have connected to manage through menus.. the problem comes when there is a joystick that always have an input. For example a pedals for aviation... So do I have to disconnect it to play? This didn't happen in RS1.. Going backards...
No USB heardphones... great.. simply great!

One would think that in year 2014 they would know how to make a damn Menu working... How these mouse bugs passed the beta test is beyond me.

Up until recent update I was able to scroll the songlist by grabbing a scrollbar. Not anymore. Great update! Let's see what they'll break next. =)

I had the same problem with being unable to select menu items. After I unplugged my flight simulation pedals (CH Pro) the menu system started working ok.

Glad I found this thread! This was exactly my problem. Once I unplugged my pedals, all was good! Thanks a bunch!!

Yep CH Pro pedals was my problem. A guy also had same trouble with X55.

I have the same problem but I have no device connected. Help me!!! I can not keep my score.

i had the same problem after talking to ubisoft we found that the usb drivers were still installed causing a conflict. we went into device manager and unistalled all usb devices, warning when you uninstall all of them you will uninstall the keyboard and mouse just unplug them and replug them and it will reinstall the drivers. it is under human interface devices in device manager, after unistalling all usb drivers restart the game this fixed my problem even though i did not have any thing plugged in the driver had a conflict with some thing in RS. hope this fixes your problem it took me a little over 2 weeks to get mine working properly.

That is great news! Please report back in a couple of days if everthing is still fine. If it is, we now have another solution for people who have this kind of problem.

It's been a week and the game is loading fine now. I have another question I bought Rocksmith the first one , when I put the disc in and start to load it it wants to install rocksmith demo. It doesn"t ask for the activation key. I had the demo from steam and I deleted it when I purchased the disc. Is this normal?

I don't remember, but I'd just skip installing the demo.

Found out do not use disc just add game and enter code.

I'm glad I found this thread. Unfortunately I'm having problems with Rocksmith 2014 working with the keyboard arrow buttons. It works with the some keys (enter, ESC, ect),& if I try to use the mouse to select anything it always scrolls to the very top selection. It was working fine the last time I used it, & it has been a while since I played Rocksmith. So I'll follow jfoxinc's directions, & see what happens.

I f you have other things pluged in like a joysticks and whatnot it will cause this also

Sorry to take so long to try this out. Unfortunately it didn't work. I haven't added or removed anything with my computer since the last time I played Rocksmith 2014. This guy has posted a good video of what happens with the menu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGPMy2aLoSs

So I'm at a loss about how to correct this issue, any help would be appreciated.
