Rocksmith2014.exe has stopped working.

Hi guys im searching for help. Everytime I start my game it crushes down after 5-6 seconds and I got a black screen and an error that says Rocksmith2014.exe has stopped working. I would be glad if somebody could help me :(.

I have the same issues as wel. anytime i try to change any settings it crashes any anytime I crl esc to desktop it crashed. I am on windows8 and am having a ♥♥♥♥♥ of a time playing the game.

I have the same problem, sent is a work ticket to UBISOFT. The tech people have sent my problem up to the program developers. At least that is what they have said, so right now its wait and see. I have this problem both with Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014, however the programs do work on my old laptop, so it has to do with my souped up desktop

Are you using 64 or 32 Bit Windows? Maybe thats the Problem on my 6 year old laptop it works fine, but on my new Aurora R4 it wont start I cant believe it I was so happy that I purchased this game. :( I have tested some methots that doesn´t work, but maybe it will help in your case:
The first thing i have tried was Steam-->Account-->Beta invites--> Set to normal mode not to Steam Beta Update
The Second thing was deactivate the "Audials Sound Capturing" in your windows Device Manager.
And the last thing I tried was deleting the "Client Registry Blob" in my Steam folder.
Unfortunatly nothing worked in my case, but maybe it will fix your errors. :)

I know Rocksmith and probably 2014 need two processors. If you don't have at least dual processors that is probably your problem. That is a dual core or quad core.

I have an overclocked I7 with 4,1Ghz and 6 real cores. I dont think thats a hardware problem.

I am using windows 8 64 bit version and the game will constantly crash for me. Also I am having weird visual issues. The screen has a double image, like it is trying to put out a 3d image even though I dont have a 3d monitor.

I had the same problem, took me about 2 hours to figure it out. In dxdiag, I found a huge amount of extra sound devices, so I went into device manager, removed that sound device and rebooted. After that, it worked just fine.

I couldn't get anything but a black screen before it would crash. To fix that problem it was simply downloading the latest driver for my video card. Then when I started up the game the Rocksmith loading screen would appear for a couple seconds before crashing. Turns out I had the same problem as benbrandt3, extra sound devices. I disabled every sound device except the compters main sound driver and the Rocksmith USB cable. That fixed the problem for me.

I dedected the problem in my system it was no USB device its in the Device Manager called "MP4ConverterAudio" I disabled it and now the game works fine :)

I can also use now my headset and 2 audio speakers :D

Mine came from SoundTaxi's MP3 audio conversion driver...there may be a common denominator here...

I have narrowed my problem down
Try going into your system manager/Audio settings and dis-able your Audio.
Then try booting the software, it should boot now, mine ran without the audio
with the program minimized re-enable your audio and you will now have sound.
However if you try exit the softwar and try rebooting while your audio is again enabled it will crash again. I have sent this into UBISOFT so hopefully they can fix the problem
