You must enable Steam Community In-Game to access the Shop

Hi i get this errror when I try to enter the shop. I searched but couldnt find anyone else with this problem for Rocksmith 2014. I'm playing it on a Mac. It started happinng right after the game deleted my profile and I had to create a new one. I found some other threads for some other games like Team Fortress that had this issue and did what they did to fix the issue but it doesnt work for me. Anyone know how to resolve it?

I had this problem, fixed it by right clicking on the game in steam, click properties and make sure the checkbox for enable steam community in game is enabled.

So I have no problem with getting in the Shop on my PC but when I try to on the Mac it gives me the error. Steam is online mode. On the mac I cannot find the little Uplay pop up that comes up on the PC version. The one that has those offline/ Uplay overlay options.

I was thinking of maybe just downloading songs on the pc through steam and maybe it will just pop up in the game for the mac. I'll try that and see how it goes.

Ok thanks. So mac is my preferred choice since all my music equiptment/ DAW / etc is on that. And I was about to download a song to test the transfer to mac but I noticed the Rockband 1 songs don't show Mac compatability. Researching further I noticed it never came out for mac so I don't think I can transfer rocksmith 1 games to mac.

So I dowloaded Rocksmith 1 from Amazon. Downloaded a few RS1 songs and they transferred fine on MAC. Now I can enter the shop on the mac. I didnt do anything else so it looks like its just really buggy on MAC. There's a new issue now where I cannot go past the "Check that you agree"screen on the Mac. But at least I can just buy the games out side the game on steam
