Help Menu Navigation
Firstly I cant access some of the options in the sub menu's with my mouse, it just seems to go into overdrive and stick without letting move any sliders, then the arrow keys dont work and I have to force quit.

The arrow keys work fine in the main menus, just not some of the sub menus.

Is there any tweaks I'm meant to be doing etc ? this is a real dodgy console port of ever I've seen one.

If i try to restore default settings it just black screens and quits.

any help much appreciated.

no problems here except for the Tone designer the controls on there suck balls it's really unclear on how to add a second pedal and stuff. If youre talking about Riff repeater with the sliders and all i can control that with my mouse perfect no adjustments needed

The menu quality is a spit in the face of the PC users. They release game simultaneously on 3 platforms, and it still feels like a port. I help myself by partially using 360 controller.

for me at the moment menu navigation is very hit and miss, sometimes arrow keys work, sometimes they dont. Mouse is a total no go and the 360 controller isnt working for in some sub menus. hmmmm more digging and tweaking for me i guess

to be fair I tend to use the 360 controller myself, it works a lot easier than mouse/keyboard (and it helps that it's got a long lead so I'm not throwing the guitar through the monitor when I'm changing menus.

Yeah the controls are not the best feature.

It feels like a port, because it is a port. They wrote Rocksmith to be on the XBox and PS3, but they had a huge outcry for it to be available on computers. It is easier to write for 2 hardware/OS configurations that do not have competing apps running in the background... then it is to write for the thousands of different computer configurations, all with a bunch of extra running apps in the background.

Thanks willem. Your suggestion of changing the resolution helped out heaps. On default settings the menus were impossible to navigate.

To the next person who finds this; my solution was to modify the rocksmith.ini file found in the Rocksmith installation directory. Be sure to set the values for ScreenWidth, ScreenHeight, RenderingWidth & RenderingHeight to your native resolution. More details can be found in the RocksmithConfiguration.pdf which is hiding in the same directory or just search for it on google.

I'm still getting an issue of option sliders being magically dragged to the left most value when they are highlighted by the mouse with no way to reset them. Very annoying. If I find a solution, I'll post it here as well.
